I'll confirm what the previous posters said. We have APs and used EE 3 times during our December trip showing the charge slip from the GCH. You need the charge slip because it shows the dates of your stay. We also got an extra EE with a parkhopper (which we ended up converting to our AP) in August. During that stay, we had split our stay and used the parkhopper EE before transferring to a Disney property. Then we used our GCH charge slip to get EE entry a second time. with the parkhopper.
As far as I know, Disney has not publicized this benefit, and as others say, it could go away anytime. I suspect they'll keep it around though, because it is extra incentive to stay onsight.
