My family LOVES BC, so our trip in 2013, we will be staying in our favorite resort again. However, we will all be a family of all adults. We have always gotten a standard room with the day bed, but as we got older, the space seems to get tighter. We were thinking of just doing two standard rooms, connected or next to each other if possible. But, I was curious if there was a different room type provided that may be better fit for a family of five? I am just not sure if BC has a room in the place that would fit us all? Does anyone know? Thankss!!

You may want to consider a one-bedroom or two-bedroom at the BCV. We are staying in a two bedroom at the BCV - 4 adults and 2 kids. We are DVC owners but you could rent points and stay in a one or two bedroom. This way you would have a full kitchen, etc. It's a nice option over 2 studios.

I also vote for a 1BR or 2BR villa at BCV. If you're dead set on BC, they do offer a Deluxe CL room which is much larger than the regular rooms. It's CL only, they do not offer the Deluxe rooms without it, but it would probabl be cheaper than getting 2 standard rooms. We just had one last month. It is still only 1 bath, 2 queens and a daybed, so people would have to share beds, but there is so much more space in the rooms, and it had the largest balcony I've ever seen on Disney property. That alone was like having an extra room!

This happened to us too..only we were Yacht Club fanatics! We also are a family of five and outgrew one room as well... so I did some research and found the Deluxe Concierge rooms at the Boardwalk Inn. We took the plunge...fell in love...and never looked back! Good luck!

A 1 bedroom at BCV would be tight for 5 adults. You have 1 king bed and a queen sofabed. I believe DVC will accept a reservation for 5 but CRO will not. The official occupancy is 4.

I would get the two rooms over a one bedroom with 5 adults any day.

In the one bedroom you only have one bed, versus 4 in the two rooms.

Also only one bath versus two baths.

If you keep all five of you in a single BC room and everyone is 18 or older, you will pay an extra $75 a night for the extra three adults. If you book a two bedroom villa, you won't pay any extra fee for extra adults.

We are not DVC members, however my dad is a CM so he get's a discount. I am not familiar with how to rent points, where is the best place to research renting points, and would we be able to with the CM discount as well?
Also, if renting points isn't an option, I'm guessing that 2 standard rooms is probably cheaper than the 2bdrm at BCV?

There are no CM discounts when renting points. In reality, you are purchasing a reservation from an individual who made the reservation with their DVC points. So Disney isn't involved in any way. There are no free dining offers, no kids stay/play free with a "points rental". It's all between you and the member.

You can check out the sticky threads at the top of the Rent/Trade Board on the DIS in the DVC Boards.

Thanks for the info! I thought that was the case regarding the CM discount. So it looks as though we would not be using DVC points at all in this, so am I right in saying that 2 standards would be cheaper than the 2 bdrm suite?

Do you mean at two bedroom suite at the BC or a two bedroom villa at BCV? They are very different. You'd need to contact Disney directly to find out the prices, especially if your father gets a CM discount.
