We booked a boat tour for the afternoon at Nassau. I am just trying to decide what to do that morning. I thin straw market will be one thing. Also I want my daughters to try conch. We had cooked several ways on our 20th anniversary trip in Grand Bahamas and it delicious. What are your plans for that day ?

I think we are going to go to the straw market too. We also plan to go to Junkanoo (?) Beach for a little while (weather permitting), and then just check out some of the shops before heading back to the ship.

Whhooo-hoooo! My 6 yr old granddaughter & I worked on our craft projects this morning too. She is so excited to "sneak" around on the ship and deliver the FE goodies - she didn't even realize that she would be getting goodies too...now she is really excited!

Has anyone read the comments about people stealing the FE gifts and the actual FE from their hangers on Facebook?????
I am really worried does anyone think we should deliver them at a certain time so we can keep an eye on them?

Yes I have read that too; I was wondering the same thing...someone suggested using zipties to secure the FE to the fish, which might deter the FE being taken but it doesn't keep people from taking the gifts. Just so sad to even have to worry about this.

Yes I have read that too; I was wondering the same thing...someone suggested using zipties to secure the FE to the fish, which might deter the FE being taken but it doesn't keep people from taking the gifts. Just so sad to even have to worry about this.

I haven't even made my FE yet! My idea is to use a long drawstring bag, that way you would need to unsinch it to put anything in or take anything out. Nothing would be showing and little kids couldn't reach the opening. I think the 'normal' FE design has too shallow of pockets. I will probably do the zip tie thing as well. Don't forget to bring scissors to cut it off the last day! A good rule of thumb is that if you don't want it stolen, don't put it in a public place. I hope none of us have any issues, but there's always the possibility of a turd in the punch bowl. Don't let it getcha down!!!

Hello Everyone!! So excited to see all the activity in our group! must mean we are cruising soon

A moment of panic set in when I realized how quickly our cruise is to becoming a reality!!! I haven't made my actual FE yet...but I had this grandiose idea to hand-quilt 3 pockets and hand embroider our names onto them. I've finished all 3 pockets but now need to construct the FE...ummm, PANIC! HAHAHA!

Thankfully I've already started on your lil' gifties!! I definitely hope to avoid those pixie-dust-stealing-thieves but we can only do so much, right? Someone mentioned that their door magnets were being stolen and that they started writing "Stolen from the [insert name] family during their Dream vacation!" on the back...she said she hasn't had anything stolen since she started!

Its so horrible we have to think of these things. I am going to go ahead and zip tie my FE and also try to add some type of Velcro to each pocket. Maybe ill even just make one large pocket with Velcro. I will also be tagging all my door magnets on the back( if not personalizing them).

We seem like a great group so Im sure everything will be great.

I haven't made mine either - but all the supplies are bought and spread out on the dining room table...I'm trying to get up the courage to start on it! I like the idea about writing on the back of our magnets. My granddaughter and I finished up our door magnets this weekend - she would be very sad if they disappeared. Some of them we have taken on 2 Royal Caribbean cruises with no problems, we just added a few pirate-y ones
