5:45 PS at Chef Mickeys vs. 7:00 E-ride: Will we make it?

A few months ago when I made all our priority seatings we had Chef Mickeys on tues. May 27th at 8:30. Then when park hours came out I switched it to 5:45 for the 8:00 e-ride. Now disney's website has the park closing at 7 instead of 8. Can anyone tell me how long dinner might take? I know e-ride is a few hours but we really wanted to take full advantage. (After all, how often is there NO line at Splash Mountain?!?) Thanks so much!

I'll take a shot at this.
Chef Mickey's is a buffet so you should be fine. I would probably try to check in about 15 min. before your ps. We usually spend an hour there and get to see all the characters. You should be finished a little before 7:00. You might want to walk to MK instead of taking the monorail if you're cutting it close.

I agree with the previous poster, show up at least 15 minutes early for your PS. That way, you'll be seated around your 5:45 time, since Chef Mickey's has been notorious for making you wait for your PS. It usually takes an hour for all the characters to make it around, so you'll make it but it will be tight. Just walk over to the MK using the walkway MUCH faster than waiting for the monorail. If anything, you'll make ito ver to MK by 7:15 - 7:30 at the latest depending when you get seated.

You must already be in the park before E-night begins, after the park closing time they will not let you in even with the e-night ticket. I think you will be cutting this way too close. I would suggest that you show up at 5pm when they open. They should be able to seat you then, just let them know you had a later PS time so they don't hold an additional table for your party. This way you can relax knowing you have enoug time to get to MK, turn in your tickets, and get bracelets before the event begins.
