5/31/11 -- Chilling on the Wonder

Happy Mother's Day to all those moms out there!:flower3:

Ok, I am getting really excited about our trip with all the pictures from the blogs, it makes it real!
Now: are we going to do a get together to meet everybody and exchange last minute cabin changes? I think it would be nice to finally put a face on people I have followed and lurked on this thread :-)

I think that is a good idea not only for the FE but for the whole group so that we can perhaps do a group photo for those who would like to participate. We can meet at 3:45 in the lobby, deck 3 and use the stairs in front of Tritans, or in the Promedade Lounge, deck 3 and use the stage area there, someone also suggested using the secret verhandah on deck 7 or the outside seating area of Topsiders, deck 8. I like in in front of Tritans as you can get photos straight on and from above.

Suggestions/ideas and who is interested?

Linda

We would like to participate in a meet. Love to actually meet you all also to have faces to names.

I'm so excited... but, I am so far behind. I've got to start on the FE's.

Steph

i was reading through some of the blogs and saw that they had some rough waters......is our sailing going to same route as this first sailing....?? i was trying to look up the maps and compare.....

@ steph ... i haven't started FEs either.......can't believe we are just 3 weeks away.......:scared1:

3 weeks to go everyone! Wow I better finish up my FE's.

I was reading the blogs from the cruisers on the Inaugural cruise and their pictures. They were soooo beautiful! I would love to meet all of you on day 1 to kick things off.

Alaska here we come!

Leslie

We have a later check-in time, by choice, but will definitely try to make it.

I am also looking forward to meeting everyone. I finished the FE's but haven't started thinking about packing. We will be so busy between now and then that I won't stress about that until the day before, I hope.

hey, I finished all of my fe's and was wondering what the plan was for the 2 rooms for arg73? they have listed in the roll call, 2 kids each 10 & 13, but does anyone know if those are girls or boys? are the other participants just taking extra to make onboard? any suggestions? thanks in advance! lc

I'm shooting for enough for 30 cabins...so that would cover them. I got my FE done last week (thanks to my Mom, since I did not get the sewing gene!) finally figured out our craft last night. One down, 29 to go!!! Can't wait!

Good question! My gifts aren't affected by whether they are boys or girls, but hopefully they'll check in soon!

I was done...and then we added more...:lmao: Murphy's law I guess...been crazy here...but mine will be complete come final packing time.
Almost there...

I have a pile of clothes on the bed, but I am struggling with what to do a about formal and semi formal night. I don't have any "winter" formal wear!

Yeah, thanks for posting this. Can't wait to see African Cats and Pirates. Got to see Mars Needs Mom's on the Dream in March.

I have a pile of clothes on the bed, ....

I'm just jumping on my bed with excitement! !

Thanks Anjelica for posting the movies - ive only seen 1 out of all of those. Being a working mom of 3 just leaves little time for the movies.

I am SOOO looking forward to the vacation!

(FEs done and packed!!)

Thanks for finding out about the movies. My son just went to see Prom with his friends today, figures. I have wanted to see Tangled but I don't have a little girl to take so very excited about that one as well. I am not only counting the days until vacation but until school is out. It has been a long end of the year.:teacher: I can't believe we leave in less than 3 weeks.

No prob on the movies - I love knowing before we go what will be playing.

I forgot to mention that my daughter will be turning 8 on our last sea day, June 6th. I'm trying to figure out what we can do special for her birthday while on ship. I noticed they have a birthday package available but I've read they aren't really worth it. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas..?
