Originally we were staying at the Radisson, but decided to switch it to the Sheraton at Cocoa Beach (staying on points instead of $). Weare flying out of Wichita Saturday morning at 6:00.

We stopped at Graceland about 6 years ago. It was OK, but not something I would do again. I guess it is worth seeing at least once.

Are you all staying the night in Wichita I hope? We've done that 6 am flight before. At least the airport is easy to deal with.

We're staying at the Residence Inn at the Cape can't wait to see that ship when we wake up in the morning.

Hello everyone! Ready for this cruise already to get here. Hey, I have a questions for any or all of you. My wife and I are staying at MCO the night before because we already had DCL transportation and didn't want to screw anything up since we are newbies. Does anyone know the earliest time the DCL transport leaves on Sunday morning?
Also, will we get to see Toy Story 3 while on the ship...I was really hoping so.
Last, the meet and greet at 2:45...what is that all about? Like what happens? Once again my cruise inexperience comes into play here and also the fact that I am new to DIS. Thank you all!

We will be at the Marriott near MCO on Saturday night (got it through Priceline-- was hoping for the Hyatt MCO but I'm sure it'll be fine!) I was wondering the same thing-- when do the buses depart from MCO for the cruise? We're going to take the Marriott shuttle to MCO on Sunday morning, then catch the DCL bus from there. What time would you recommend we get to MCO that morning?

Shhh.... don't tell anyone... but as far as Graceland goes.... I've never been... and I've lived in Memphis for 26 years. My soon-to-be-wife is a native Memphian, and she's never been either.

No, we are staying at home Friday night. We have done the early flight before & have done it both ways (staying at home vs. airport hotel). We are only an hour away from the airport & feel that staying at the airport hotel only gives us about an extra 30 minutes of sleep as we have only one bathroom to get ready, have to pack our dirty clothes & check out.

It does however give us a little more comfort knowing we are only minutes away from the airport, but decided to just stay at home this time.

Unfortunately I cannot answer that one, but maybe someone else will chime in.

Also, will we get to see Toy Story 3 while on the ship...I was really hoping so.

I'm pretty sure we will not see Toy Story 3 as it doesn't open until June 18th. I believe we will get to see Prince of Persia as it opens May 28th (which my boys are very excited about). I don't think they will run a movie before its opening date.

Last, the meet and greet at 2:45...what is that all about? Like what happens?

This will be my first DIS meet (along with my first cruise) so I'm not exactly sure what happens. I think it's just a "say hello" put faces to names/DIS names type thing. DIS'rs who've sailed together before can reconnect and us newbies can chit chat and maybe get some more tips & tricks from the veterans.

I can't believe I have to survive through 2 more 8 hour work days!! I am so ready for this much needed vacation!!

For those staying at the Hyatt.
My memory is a bit fuzzy since our last cruise was over a year and a half ago so bear with me!

I remember going into the lobby early in the AM to check in (for transportation) with DCL. They had a table set up in a room off of the lobby. We waited in line and then got all squared away with them. We were given a Mickey boarding pass & was told they would call "Mickey" when our group was ready to be taken to the DCL bus. From what I saw, depending on when you checked in was what boarding pass you got (ie Mickey, Donald, Minnie, Pluto, etc.)

Sorry, I can't remember the exact times but I know that I was in the lobby early to check in w/ DCL. If I had to guess, probably around 8-8:30ish. I know for a fact we got the very first DCL bus leaving out of MCO Hyatt. We got to the Port early, I'm thinking around 10:00-10:30 ish. I remember there being not alot of people there when we arrived so it must have been right after 10.

It was a very smooth process with DCL. VERY organized. I know for that particular cruise, there were TONS of people at MCO Hyatt for the DCL cruise and the whole process was easy & flawless. That's why Chris and I decided to stay at the Hyatt again this time. When I checked into the Hyatt, I told the lady we were cruising DCL and she gave us an information sheet with everything we needed to know regarding the next morning (Times, what to expect, where to put luggage, where to meet, etc.)

Hope this helps. This is what we did last time and I'm thinking that process hasn't changed too much since then.

So we fly out of Buffalo at 8:30 Sunday morning; no hotel at all, just our compfy own beds, but who can sleep anyway?? We arrive at the airport at 11:20 and hop on the bus!!

We're staying at the MCO Hyatt too. We're having Happy Limo pick us up Sunday morning rather than taking the Disney transfer. While the Disney system IS smooth and flawless (and fun once you're on the bus), it involved way too much waiting for me. Patient is not a word anyone would EVER use to describe me. In fact, this week is dragging by so slowly that yesterday I would swear my watch actually moved backwards at one point!

I have finally decided that I must stop shopping for FE gifts or I'll have serious trouble getting everything to the ship. DS and his travel buddy finished their finals yesterday and are SO ready to go! All I have to do now is a little last minute packing. C'mon Saturday!!!

I will see you all at 2:45 on Sunday!

Tami0220, the lady who made the banner that we will attempt to use for our DISmeet, sent some FE gifts that pertain to our cruise. Tami was originally going to sail with us but had to change her cruise date but had already made some gifts and they got sent my way for our cruise. So when I place the item in your FE, just look on the back and you will see where I wrote "Tami0220". I just thought I'd mention this so you will know why you received something from someone who is not on our FE list.

After I posted that I took a look and realized how close Canton was to McPherson and now I understand what the drive would be like. I agree if you can save a few bucks to stay home I'd do the same. I never sleep the night before a trip anyway!

So two nights ago we found out DD has the Fifths virus. I never even knew what it was but its basically a virus that makes her sleepy with a low fever at first. now that she's past that, which is the contagious stage, her only symptoms are a red skin rash/condition that makes her look either really sun burnt or really flush in the cheeks. It only shows up on the arms, legs and face and may last up to 3 weeks. The bad part is that its worse in the sun which we'll get plenty of in the next week or so.

SO if you see a little girl at the pool that looks like she's been fried don't be too concerned, the Dr. told us which sun lotion to use and said things would be fine. Every time we've cruised there has been some health issue. I hope this is our issue on this trip as its pretty harmless.

Hi all! I am Kelly, this will be our 3rd trip on the Wonder and 1st double dip. I have everything ready, but nothing packed yet. I think I posted on here for awhile maybe 6 or 7mos ago. I was wondering if anyone knew what movies were showing. Also, will there be a 5th show to catch or will it be a repeat of a previous night?

Hi All - This will most likely be my last post for now. 8 bags packed, 2 kids asleep, husband changing voice mail for business, FE gifts complete (and awesome, I might add!) 5 hours of sleep until we leave for the airport...I just can't wait! Hope everyone has safe travel mercies and sending you pixie dust! Please say a prayer for us that we enjoy WDW for Star Wars Weekend and that kids don't get sick and hubby's back holds out with all the luggage Can't wait to meet all of you at the pool deck at 2:45! I am completely unbearable right now! Only my family wants to be around me or to talk to me! Everyone else is DONE listening to me talk about the cruise.

We take our furry children to the "dog resort" this afternoon. They have complete control of when they go out as there are indoor/outdoor runs so the dogs think they are pretty cool. At least that's what I think they think. Then only a couple more things and we are ready to go!

I'll probably give our FE gifts out the first evening as well, but I'm not sure how to deal with the glow necklaces. They are long and will stick out of the FE's so someone might "help themselves" and if you bend them it will activate the stuff inside. I may be knocking on doors to give those out to each cabin.

Ok my day started out good but is quickly going to panic mode. My boss is out of town next week also (usually she covers for me when I'm out) and she is the only other one that knows my job. So I have all these people suddenly calling me for stuff next week with only two part time girls to figure out and cover the whole office next week. I am trying to leave them detailed what if instructions. Already stressed about coming back and haven't left yet!!
