5/30/2010-5 Night Disney Wonder Memorial Day Double Dip! Roster-Post 626 on page 42

The Weather Channel shows a chance of thunderstorms each day, but with temps near 90 and humidity, you would expect that. They are usually over quick, so I am not worrying. I'd be happy to lay on the bed in my stateroom and do nothing !!

Hiya disney cruisers. Wanted to first say hello and that my wife and I will be heading down for our first cruise this sat!!!! Hope to meet some of you on here and maybe on the ship as well. Please respond if you have any helpful tips to share!!!! Blessings

Is this the roster for fish extenders on the cruise? I would love to be a part but do not know much about it...could you explain and can we still join?

I just wanted to say hello and let everyone know that we will be joining you on this cruise. Me (Mom), DD 19, DD 3. Are there any other older teenagers on the cruise? We booked late and I did not have time to read through all the older posts. See you soon!

Hi Disneyphile! Glad you found us before the cruise. A few of us are planning on meeting on Sunday on the ship. We will be on Deck 9 by the pool/drink station area at 2:45. Feel free to come join the fun.
As far as the Fish Extender gifts go, there was a cut-off date of May 9 to join. It takes a good bit of time to get the gifts together and it is too late to join it for this cruise, but you are going to enjoy this cruise soooo much that you will be booking a second cruise before you know it. I hope you understand why we cannot accept any more families being that the cruise is less than a week away and some families that are participating in the Fish Exchange are leaving in the next day or two to start their Walt Disney World part of their vacation. This would not allow them enough time to put another gift bag together.
Please come and join us for our Dismeet. I will try to hang a banner that a Dis member made particularly for our cruise. Look for us by the pool and we hope to see you there!

As far as some helpful tips go.........don't miss the sailaway party which will begin after the muster drill.

Our Philadelphia Flyers are going to the Stanley Cup Finals!! :cool1::cool1:

I was wondering if anyone knows if we will be able to see the games while on board? DH is REALLY hoping not to miss any!!

Joe is ready for Pirate night!

See ya'll on board.

If it's aired on ABC or any ESPN network, it will be aired in Diversions. If it's not on one of those, it may or may not be shown in Diversions. You would have to talk to the manager of Diversions. So I guess we'll know where to find you. :rotfl:

Can you believe it??? Thirteen years since they've been in the finals, and we might not see it :faint:

Keeping my fingers crossed that ESPN will cover the games :cheer2:

I found this on the internet. Flyer fans may not want to read it - the games are on NBC:

2010 Stanley Cup Finals Schedule

(2) Chicago Blackhawks vs (7) Philadelphia Flyers
May 29 Chicago Blackhawks vs Philadelphia Flyers 8:00 PM NBC, CBC, RDS
May 31 Chicago Blackhawks vs Philadelphia Flyers 8:00 PM NBC, CBC, RDS
June 2 Philadelphia Flyers vs Chicago Blackhawks 8:00 PM Versus CBC, RDS
June 4 Philadelphia Flyers vs Chicago Blackhawks 8:00 PM Versus, CBC, RDS
June 6 Chicago Blackhawks vs Philadelphia Flyers 8:00 PM NBC, CBC, RDS
June 9 Philadelphia Flyers vs Chicago Blackhawks 8:00 PM NBC, CBC, RDS
June 11 Chicago Blackhawks vs Philadelphia Flyers 8:00 PM NBC, CBC, RDS

CBC is Canadian, but I don't know what RDS is. Hopefully, they have a way to show it on the ship!

We are meeting up on Sunday at 2:45pm on Deck 9 Aft by the drink station/Mickey pool area. Can't wait to meet everyone!!

To all:

Enjoy your cruise and two stops at CC!!

We were originally booked on this cruise and we now wish we were still joining you for this cruise.

(Note to self: Never move a summer cruise to spring break in the future....:confused3)

Again - have a great time!! :sail: :beach:

Mackel09,

Welcome Aboard. I've added you to our roster. Looking through the roster I know oklj has a DD16 who will be on the cruise and has been active lately. There is also Nittany89 who lists a DD18 but I don't think Nittany89 has been active much lately so I PM'd her to see if they are still on this cruise. Hope this helps a little.

KSDisneyDad,

Thanks for the well wishes. I will be sure to remind you next year not to move your booking from Summer to Spring. ;) Fair winds and happy sailing to you and your family on your future cruises!

disneyphile122907,

Welcome Aboard. I've added you to the roster. Sorry you didn't make the deadline for the FE exchange, but you probably don't want to have to scramble to put that all together at the last second, especially since it's your first cruise. I hope you're having fun packing and preparing. You are of course welcome to join us at the DIS board meet on Sunday afternoon (2:45pm Deck 9 Aft drink station/Mickey pool area). Hope to see you there!

Oh. My. Goodness. The anticipation is KILLING me! So...who's going to be at the Radisson the night before? Anyone?

Who wants to be my friend after this is all over when I'm so sad because the whole thing is over? ;)

Of course, I will have my dear husband to reminisce with. He is the best! Today he did the torch run for special olympics. The humidity here is like 85% so it was a sweaty affair! He only has two more days of work til the "big leave".

Are any of you midwesterners driving? Straight through? The car has had some steering thingy fixed and the air conditioner was serviced. Good to go. I've scoped out picnic areas along the way. From what I read the visitor's centers in Mississippi have free coca cola...or maybe it's just the one at the Tennessee Mississippi line. Mississippi is the birthplace of Coke. And the visitor's center in Memphis has a giant bronze statue of Elvis. I'm not a crazed Elvis fan, but that's probably something to see. Any other suggestions of interesting stuff to see between here and there? I am just a planning fool!

I am getting on the nerves of anyone who isn't my husband right now with my excited planning. I can post here...disers always understand!

Cari

I will, I will! :lmao:

I always have the Disney blues when I return home from a trip. The only thing that keeps me sane is planning another trip! But unfortunately, I think my Disney days may be over for a while after this cruise. We are moving on June 18 and the new house needs alot of stuff!

SO I guess I'lll be spending my Disney vacation money on furniture! :sad1:

We are staying at MCO Hyatt the day before the cruise. One of the best sights is seeing that DCL Bus pull up for us!! YAY YAY YAY!!

We will be chill'in at the Radisson also. Most likely to be found at the pool with a cocktail.

We are at the Country Inn and Suites the night before, but we get in really late, so I don't think we'll be doing anything but trying to sleep (if we're not too excited YEAH RIGHT!).

Originally we were staying at the Radisson, but decided to switch it to the Sheraton at Cocoa Beach (staying on points instead of $). Weare flying out of Wichita Saturday morning at 6:00.

We stopped at Graceland about 6 years ago. It was OK, but not something I would do again. I guess it is worth seeing at least once.
