Hope everyone is enjoying their weekends! Jacquelyn and Chris -- hope your visit to the beach is fun while I'm sitting on hard metal stands watching 7 and 11 year olds play baseball.

What a week. We ended up changing our WDW vacation schedule from June to August. I hope we can survive that August heat, but the schedule for June was just not working out for us forcing us to move it. Now, I have to make all new ADRs and plan out our trip.

Woke up again to that fluffy white stuff Tonight is an important baseball game for one of my kids, so we'll see how it goes today with the weather. It's suppossed to warm up and melt but it looks so cold right now with the snow coming down.

As you can see, my CC pics are winding down. I'll try to start some new ones of shots around the ship.

We're just about 13 months shy and I had the urge to check prices for DCL for summer cruises in lieu of our WDW vacation this year. Unfortunately, we just can't do it this year as the cost is significantly higher for a much shorter trip.

Tami, Yes, the 5,000 pictures were just from our last vacation alone, not including the first two cruises. However, of the 5,000 pictures about 2,000 were just from the Panama Canal and Cartagena, Columbia. Plus we stopped at Legoland, the Midway Museum in San Diego, and Disneyland prior to the cruise, as well as stops in Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco and Aruba. I started uploading some of the pictures around the ship last night and those pictures, more than the CC pictures, really made me miss being on a cruise. I have a lot more ship pictures than I do CC pictures, but I had to remember that I've been to CC for just a part of three days, whereas, I've spent 29 nights on a DCL ship on our past three cruises.

Here is the second to last picture from my CC set. Seeing the wake of the ship with CC in the background is indeed a sad sight.

I havent had the pleasure of going to CC yet so maybe this isnt a good idea. But, I would like them to build a hotel there so they could drop passengers off who would like to stay on the island til the next ship came along....But perhaps that would spoil the beauty of the island.

I've often though it would be nice to stay more than one day on CC, which is why we booked the double dip cruise. I don't look forward to when they start rounding everyone up to get them to back to the ship. At the other ports, they just tell you the all aboard time and if you miss it, you miss it. What if you would happen to miss the ship at CC? Hmmmm...


Well, here's my last CC picture. I have a lot more, but they're mostly duplicates of what I've already posted or are family pictures that wouldn't be that interesting for posting on the board.

This is my youngest son who didn't want to leave the Deck 7 deck, but watched Castaway Cay as it disappeared into the distance. This is also a good segue into posting pictures of the ship itself. (FYI to those who haven't been on this Deck 7 observation deck - we're paranoid parents and he really could not have fallen off the ship from here. However, this standing on deck furniture is why we don't want a verandah.)

I just wanted to let you know that we will no longer be joining you on this cruise. We were really looking forward to it, but had thought the kids would be out of school by the time of sailing. Well, this year they have 2 weeks off at Spring Break due to a conference, so won't quite be out yet. I was so looking forward to going to Castaway 2 times and meeting all of you! I hope you have an enjoyable cruise and enjoy Castaway! You guys are so lucky to be going twice

Actually we switched our cruise to during Spring Break since we will have 2 weeks off. I wish we could do the double dip, but it just doesn't work out very well for us.

Hello all! Just thought I'd join in on this group. I've lurked by a couple times and since we're crawling up on the year mark I might as well make an appearance. This is our 3rd DCL cruise and 2nd time on the Wonder. We booked a cruise a year ago on the Magic for another 7 day trip in Dec. 09. We were just booking to hold. We decided that we'd save a little money and push it out further and a double dip at CC was too much to pass up. We're actually going to stay at WDW a few days before and make a long vacation out of it. Our group is Me (Bryan) and my wife, DS 10 (at time of cruise) and DD 7 (atoc). Unlike the OP we are STILL in KS. I'm sure you are loving the views of the rockies in Denver. Not so much here but we still call it home (and its been a great home). Looking forward to reading about you all and counting down the days together. I'm not a big poster but I may join in from time to time. Lets hope for a great cruise next year with a great group of people.

Hi everyone.

We are just off the Wonder, and decided to book this cruise on board to "hold us over" until the 2010 WB TA in September. I was shocked that our room was available, a full 6-7 months after booking was open.

We are Mike and Jodie (we also answer to Alex and Nessa. Alternatively, "hey you!"). We don't do well with group events or exchanges, but you can find us belly up at the bar at Signals or Diversions. You will also likely see my fat butt sitting in a beach chair on Castaway Cay.

Looking forward to counting down with all of you.
