Ok,
I just took off ldavarado and my step father

But I added ksucats with kids and oldshovelhead and DW onto our roster on page 42.

Our family has decided to go ahead with our cruise despite the loss of my step father. My mom, his daughter and grandson will also be going to honor his memory. I'm sure the trip will be bittersweet for all of us.

Cari, I am sorry to hear about your step father esp. during the holidays.

ksucats welcome aboard! Nice to see some fellow Kansans on the ship. We have a 10yo and 7yo and this will be our 3rd DCL cruise as a family. Hope you are finding better luck getting flights at a decent price than we are. Right now it looks like we'll be flying out of KC via Airtran saving us around 700.00 for the family. Still holding out for a better deal out of Wichita.

We just got our planning packet in the mail today... Makes me very excited for the trip. As we look outside at the 15 degree temperature, I wish it was May 30th and warmer.

I'm Cari's husband, and hope the trip is a well deserved pick-me-up for her mom. She has went through a lot this holiday season.

our families thoughts and prayers are with you and your family !! I am 5 days away from the one year anniversary of my father's death, so believe me when I say I know how everyone is feeling.
I am happy to hear the families have decided to continue with the vacation, for all the obvious reasons !! It is hard to believe that life goes on, but it does, alittle differently, but I am sure your step-father would want you all to continue enjoying your lives !!


I am certainly wanting May 30th to come asap !! The snow is falling, and falling and falling...DS missed school monday, had 2 hr delay tues, missed wed and actually went all day today (1st time since Dec 23rd), and since they are calling for 2-4" tonight and again tomorrow, I doubt they will be going again. I don't think I can ever remember missing 3 days of school due to snow in one week. Probably that is what we missed in a year. Our buses had chains on the tires, and unless it snowed 8" + we went !! Times do change !!
I just made my ADR's for our WDW plans after the cruise !! Airlines is booked...so basically ready to go !!

We just came back from 6 wonderful days in the (chilly!!) World.

DH and I are longing for Castaway Cay! It'll be here before we know it! It seems we are getting snow AGAIN tomorrow. Yuck!

We are going to Disneyland the week before the cruise (DH has a Conference in Anaheim for Surgery Center Administrators) so we are thinking about shortening our cruise plans. We are booked on both the May 30th and June 4th cruises back to back but may cancel the 2nd cruise. Not sure what to do. Our jobs certainly will be mad at us if we take alot of time off. I put in my vacation request last month and I got the vibe they were none too pleased with the Disneyland/Disney Cruise/Ocean City NJ in both July & August vacation requests!

As of right now, we are still booked for both cruises.

Wow...so much in common with the people we'll be sailing with here it kind of makes you wonder...

My DW (Donna) and I have really been looking forward to this trip ever since I booked it way back when. Saturday the Travel Channel showed cruise shows all day including DCL. We got our travel kit in the mail two days ago and the excitement in this house has dramatically increased. Then yesterday morning we find out we’ve had a death in the family…and at the same time, a friend committed suicide on a beach in California. Again…at the same time…

All I can say is we need this trip to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary and our 50th birthdays!!! All while we’re underway!!!

Hey guys, I know there is already a thread for people to request postcards for their children from those sailing before them, but I thought since at one time I was on this cruise, but changed it to February 14 I would offer to do it for you. Send me a PM with your info and I'd be glad to help you out! Yea we are only 5 weeks out!!!! I guess I should set a limit since there are so many on this cruise, I'll take as many as I think I can handle and then post again when I reach that limit.

Hi all. Been a while since I have posted anything. I have mostly been watching since first posted in post #5. Wow that was a long time ago!! Hard to believe we are getting so close.

My DD10 is wanting to try to find somebody to hang with and is begging me to ask if anybody has another DD in her age range that would be interested in emailing her. PM if you are interested.

Hey! Please add us! It's me-Michelle, dh-Derek, ds16, ds15 and dd10. (we're the Hulls, from Bowling Green, KY). Our friends and their two teenage sons are also booked, but we've already had some snow days and if there are many more, graduation (for their son) will be moved to the 30th. I really hope they can come.
Our family has done a 4 day, a 7 day I have done a 3day with my friend from college. We are so excited!

This will be our 7th Disney Cruise and 8th Disney Cruise. It will be just me and my husband. We needed some time without the kids.

We are doing back to back cruises with the first one being May 27th. We booked this using our Disney Vacation Club points and were fortunate enough to be able to stay in the same stateroom for both cruises. We are in stateroom 6303.

We also booked the 5 day Dream cruise for June 7th, 2011.

We are so excited to get back into cruising. We had taken a few years off due to having children and also because of $$.

I haven't read through all the posts yet so please forgive me if I am asking something that has already been covered.

I was wondering if anyone has booked or experienced snorkling excursions in Nassau and at Castaway Cay (not the snorkeling in the Lagoon, but the actual excursion)?

I'm also wondering about our stateroom 6303, has anyone stayed in that room? If so how was it, quite? This will be our first time staying in an inside stateroom.

I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Well, it looks like we will be sailing with you twice. We have the same cruise booked on the Dream.........and I can't wait!! Sorry, but I can't answer your questions. I've only done the Lagoon snorkeling.

This will be our 3rd DCL, all on the Wonder and we can't wait! Cruise party will be DH, me, DD (14) and DS (6). We will be celebrating mine and DS birthday onboard!

Well, I was actually having a hard time navigating through the site as well, so I called DCL and the agent navigated it for me. I didn't even ask how she found it, but she said it was under dining (I think????) Sorry I can't be of more help!

I am amazed at all the Disboard members that are sailing on this cruise! How cool. You are really sweet to keep the list. Is this for FE or any plans for having one?
