Ive learned, through the whole planning process of this trip, that there are "disney people" and there are "non disney people"....non disney people dont get the attraction and disney people cant get enuff of that attraction.

we are disney people, there is no question. I would turn around and go right back...ya know, if I could walk on these weary legs, had a few more thousand to blow, and no job to report to. Im 31 years old and the magic is still there for me. I was raised going to disney occasionally and I plan to raise my son the same way. He loved it. Ya know its like seeing a park all over again when you start to watch it through your childs eyes. Maybe as a teenager you get less excited about seeing Mickey, but when you have your own small child, the excitement comes back. I hope I never lose the memory of this trip.....I have over 650 pictures that will help keep it vivid in my mind.

We had plenty of ups and downs, I think that is going to happen no matter how hard you try to only have "ups". A four year old is very tempermental so you dont know how his mood is going to be day to day.....and his mood tends to set the mood of us, the parents....however, I could have an absolute horrible morning and one action (maybe meeting one character, or something like that)...one action can turn that completely around. Thats the beauty of disney....you cant stay mad, you just cant. Something always cheers you up...somewhere, somehow.

I do have to say, there were things that were somewhat depressing. First was the CMs...sure, there were the CMs you come to expect from disney....the ones that are fun, play with your kids, always have nice things to say, are always happy...the ones that can make your day. But this time, more than times in the past, I saw too many miserable looking CMs....and plenty whose mood came across in their actions...yelling instructions at families getting on rides, rather than nicely showing the process to board rides....waiters and waitresses that could give a **** that you are spending alot of money to eat there, they act like they work at McDs......then we saw (especially at MGM) many CMs who were standing around doing NOTHING....are these people necessary....can you weed out the ones with NO magic then? if you have alot standing around, you could cut staff and try harder to have the best ones working there. Sure people would lose their job, but some didnt really look like they would care. maybe they could also then cut the price of water on a 95 degree day. Also, it would make room for me. Working at disney would be a dream for me....not in the parks per se, in marketing, or an office somewhere. and I may try, but it would kill me to not get a call back when there are folks there that dont want to be there.

I was a little shocked at how much money I went thru on this trip. Sure it was budgeted, and its not ruining my day or anything, but some meal prices just blew my mind. and it wasnt all of them either. Souvineers the same way...some seems priced like any other souviner at any other place and then some were just ridiculously priced. although, having said that, I know I could have done the trip cheaper, I just didnt want to I guess...it was fun for once to let me son have "anything he wanted".

all and all, disney is second to NONE. noone could do a theme park better...everything from their parks, to the resorts, to the transportation, to the shopping....everything is perfect to the last detail. the parks arent just fun, they are BEAUTIFUL...same with the resorts. Im amazed at how much detail they get into. it is the most perfect vacation destination...and if the cards are dealt right...maybe we will go back next year, or do the cruise, or something. but its hard to think of somewhere we could go that we would ALL enjoy as much as we did at disney.

thank you walt

one more thing

I underestimated the depression I was gonna get about coming back...the fact that its all over just KILLS me...makes me sick to be at work today

and thats a plus for disney, cause that just means I had that good a time
