Yuck. I only have a couple of requirements for my next house. One of them is I want to live on a small hill.

I think next time I'll live in a condo on a hill. ;)

Sorry dear, I guess FL is out... I never realized how flat it was til I moved from New Hampshire (as in White MOUNTAINS!!!) to Florida! Oh, to live on a hill again! :guilty:

Did you all run into teen trouble on your 12/18 cruise?
This will be the first time that my family sails in the summer as well, we normally go in Oct/Sept/Nov so it will be a change

Well, there was a minor amount of teen trouble on the ship, nothing unusual for a long cruise, I don't think. Well, the kid that threw furniture overboard was probably out of the ordinary. Some teens were jumping in an elevator and got stuck. And the stairwells were late night hangouts, not a problem unless your cabin was near a stairwell. I did stick my head out at 12:30 to tell a couple of girls that were shouting up and down our hallway to "find another spot". DH says I yelled, but they did leave! Thankfully, none of this involved any of our teens.

We had our tables linked at both seatings, and at second seating an 8 top Teen table was created by shuffling some of us around. An 11 year old and 8 year old also ate there, but it was still the official Teen Table. Scuba Matt ate there for his second dinner. The servers were not exactly thrilled about it the first couple of nights, but they got over it, and we all tipped our originally assigned servers. We did eat with our families the first night, and for Christmas Eve. The kids loved it. I was not as crazy about it, since we barely saw our daughter on the cruise, but we did enjoy the adult company at dinner. Given a choice next cruise, she would vote for a Teen table again (I asked her). Looks like we have enough teens second seating! I think our group of kids looked out for each other a bit, which was a bonus. And we got a great pic of the girls on formal night!

LOL I only think of that person was their screen name. DO you know the kind of looks you receive from other people when you say, Oh I know here that is wdwlover, or RAC etc etc etc.....LOL

Not sure, wondering if the Burts have officially changed their name yet to the Scubas. How many times were you called Mr. Scuba on the cruise, Jim?

Sticking my fingers in my ears.....la la la la la la la la I CAN'T HEAR YOU....la la la la....

uh...oh, this is a computer screen....

Sticking my fingers in my eyes.....ow ow ow ow ow ow ow I CAN'T SEE YOU....ow ow ow ow ow ow ow

I did that to DH for 8 years before finally taking my fingers out of my ears long enough to sell the house, pack it up, and head 1400 miles due south.

Amanda,
Your white text remarks crack me up!! :) Keep up the good work!

Im more south than you are nah nah nah...... :cool1: We need to have ourselves a meet since we are so close! LOL

When we're driving home from FL and see signs that say "Columbus, next right" we say something dumb like "hey, we're almost home!!" (we live just west of Columbus, OHIO)

Of course, then we go past London, KY.... :)

shared a TOP with Amanda! :)

I *still* refer to them as Mr. and Mrs. Scuba. :) That's not their name? ;)

YEAH, but referring to me as a 'possible egghead' may be pushing it a bit. A true 'egghead' wouldn't order 25 3-day old chicks in the middle of March when they had no idea what they were getting into. It's called learn-as-you-go chicken hobby that costs more than the eggs are worth :scratchin .

Did they mail them to you? It cracks me up when I go to the post office in the spring and all I hear is peeping from behind the counter!!!

If you are listed in the local telephone directory, it can't be called stalking... :D C'mon- I haven't walked by your house on my nightly walks... although once I build my miles back up at night (when its lighter out), I'll be back in your neighborhood again. (Can only walk the loop in mine so many times without getting bored.) :bored:

When you do walk by, please pull some weeds. They are out of control! :Pinkbounc

and again,

I think the kids would like a liveaboard trip that would include Saba.

Amanda, here's a little editing for you:

Dancind aka Diana=5622 and Kevin (Tinksdad), DD Alicia (15) (Tinkdancer) late seating

Sure, Jim. Pencil the "kids" in for 2007, OK? I think we're booked up until then.

That sounds like a good year for a move, doesn't it? Then, at least, we could save the air fare to FL.

In the meantime it continues to pour rain here, the sump pump cycles every 60 seconds or so, the back patio is flooded (which means water drips into our basement through them main electrical line---that's not good, right Kevin?)and our yard now has a pond (which the Beast found and played in!)
Oh, and if THAT isn't bad enough....it's 37 degrees!

Thanks for your weather update. It was a great reminder of how good I have it. :flower1:

After I finish eating my salad for lunch I am going outside to take advantage of our 80 degree sunny weather. :moped:

I'd say I hate you, but that's probably one of the forbidden phrases in your house. I've already told your wife to shut up, so I don't have a good track record!! :) Oh, and I call my dog "stupid." :)

p.s. for anyone who WASN'T there, I told Mrs. Scuba to "shut up" in my best Princess Mia voice I could. It was more a "you're KIDDING!!!?!?!?"

If we still have AP's, we'll have to visit the Mouse! If not, there's Universal, or a visit to the East coast for more scuba diving for the family.

I see that and will remember that!!!! :jumping4: :jumping4:

You are correct. Our whole family became the Scubas. At least it was something that I can live with.

But I don't see any white comments. Do we need to suggest something like "enjoys rubber bands"? puckerup: :cool1:

Don't be talking to my wife like that. She's my cupcake!

Yes, there are a few phrases we do not use in the house. Shut up and stupid are two of them. Sometimes it is tough not to because some people are just.......

I know , you, a GA girl, did not just go there with concerns of rain!!!! Have you gone mad chick???? :earboy2: LOL

I guess that did sound a little like I had gone made. Not only am I now a GA "peach" but I was born in raised in cajun country in LA (hence, CajunGirl). So, yes I am used to the rain - especially the afternoon variety!! A little rain never hurts anyone. I just don't want any total washout days.
