(It helps that they had the world's best sitter when they were little... she took better care of them than I ever could!)

That is what I keep telling my sister (Nick and Emmy's mom). I can't wait for school to be over so I get to spend more time with them!

Door Sign Question -- Instead of printing on magnetic paper, could I just print on card stock, laminate it and then apply magnets? Not sure I want to try and mess with magnetic paper.

I have made a few signs using Printmaster. I tried uploading to photobucket so I could post, but they are saved with .sig and it says photobucket doesn't support it. I only made one from scratch, and the others I found that people had posted pre-made and I customized it for us. I am just not very creative, but I am working on it.

I was thinking of printing on plain paper & laminating. Card stock is a good idea.

Does Printmaster give you the option to Save As... or Export... That's what I've had to do to upload to Photobucket.

Ok. I've got to quit messing with these door signs. It's taking over my life!!!

Here's the one that I came up with today.

Your door sign is GREAT. have had no success yet. Getting frustrated. Larger hammer needed for either computer or me. Not sure who is screwing up.

Night, night all! I need to go do the mad dash of picking up the house before DH arrives home tomorrow morning some time after I've headed out for work.

Let's just say I wanted to ship wine to the Magic and not lug it on the plane/car/ship....

What would be the BEST way to pack that??

I'd say order a case or half a case of wine, maybe Banfi at a good price on-line. Pack yours in whatever it comes in. Hey, they're the pros, right?

I am so jealous Diana that you got lanyards and pins. Who did you book with? I didn't get anything, but I did save over $300 off of DCL and other's prices.

Hmm, am I allowed to tell you? It starts with a C and ends with an O, 6 letters. I told Kevin that they probably had extras. I think those are usually sent out when you book a package, and all we booked was the cruise.

Who was that???? Was that VANNA WHITE????

Okay,

Maybe I am just being paranoid, but is anyone else concerned about putting their last name on a door sign. I would be worried about someone being able to then go down to the front desk and say "I am Mr. Smith from Cabin 7546 and I just locked my card-key in the room"

Again, maybe I am just too paranoid!! :confused3 :confused3

Lucky you -- I used them 4 years ago and got nothing from them.

Thought I would pick up the kids from school early and head to the mall for some cruise shopping...we decided to eat at the food court...all kids wanting someting different of course.....after we ran here and there x 4, I then get to pick my food and eat.. of course the x4's were done eating.......As I am sitting there, trying to eat fast as I can without choking...I hear a loud bang echo thru the food court...I quickly scan for my kids...1,2,3 uh oh wheres #4??!?!? PANIC ensues as I turn my head in what felt like slo-mo and I see Nate on the floor not more than a foot behind me...directly in front of him is a ride (like in front of waltmart kmart etc etc ) It doesnt take long at all to realize he has just had a run in with this ride...and that horrendous echo bang was the sound of my kids head playing ball with this metal ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!RUN TO HIM< PICK HIM UP<<HE CRIES I PANIC HE REMOVES HIS HANDS FROM HIS FOREHEAD AND I SUPERPANIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blood everywhere........I can hardly see thru the tears......kind man in the food court takes charge us me and Nate. Puts pressure on laceration (learning experience I tell ya) all the while trying to keep me calm, in order to keep Nate calm.......He is telling me he is a medic in the armed forces...his DD's are telling me their Dad is good, and the MRS is telling me it will be okay..........sigh..all I can think is GET THIS KID TO AN ER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!STAT and how the heck am I going to drive us all there?!?!?!?! We are in the food court of the mall, and as you know most foodcourts are in the center of the mall, meaining you usually have to go thru the mall to get back to your car....now imagine seeing me coming carrying a crying baby with blood all over both of us and 3 other kids trailing behind.....another kind soul stopped me....asked if she could look at her...alll I could think get to ER NOW..I said the other guy said me to go to ER he was a med prof..she said I am too, where are you taking him, I said the Meidcal Center..she said take him to the after hours clinic...it wont be as long of a wait and they can do the same thing as the ER...I said okay....SHe said let my husband carry him to your car for you..I said ok thru tears....THank God for him carrying him thru the store for me, That gave me time to cal down and gather my senses about me...and get us safely to the DR....Dr says no conccussion...needs stitches...it lookkkes horrible! I hated to even look, not because it was gross but because this was my kid and I didnt want him to hurt like tht.....all I remember is that they gave him about 6 stitches on the inside and about 6 on the outside :-( My baby was so brave and he did better than I did. I never want to go thru anything like this again..EVER.....I am still shaky because I just cant believe my baby is hurting..I have given him motrin, and he has ice on his head now...I think I just needed to get this out and hopefully it will help with the way I am feeling....I have to take him back to the DR on WEDS to get the stitches out....it will leave a scar...I am sooo grateful taht it wasnt anyworse THANK GOD!

Can never be to paranoid these days. At Disney when locked room with everything in it Cast Member escorted me and made me show Photo ID before they would leave me in room. Disney has a pretty good handle on this but anything can happen even when the rest of the trip is magical.

AMANDA -- oh thank goodness there were a few nice souls there to help you and the kids get through that. Was it your youngest??? I hope you can gather your senses and be able to get some rest tonight.

We had something similar happen to Dale when he was 1 1/2. He felt and cut through his lip. Took him to emergency and blood was just spurting everywhere. The worse part was the doctors separating me and Charley and interrogating us. I guess they have a lot of child abuse. They even called our pediatrician to make sure nothing had every happened. Of course it was only 10 day away from Dale's first trip to Disneyland for a family Christmas. All of our pictures have him with stitches on his face.

We will say a little prayer for you guys tonight and I am sure he will sleep well tonight, just make sure you do to.

pixiedust: Hope he feels better soon!!! I know it is very scary!! Been there -- have the hospital receipt and I think the bloodspots are still in the garage! When Michael was about 1 1/2 he was "helping" clean the garage when he somehow knocked over a board that hit him across the tops of three finger knocing the nails completely off. Of course Monica was at the Y with our ONLY car! Fortunately our neighbor was home a could take us to the hospital -- she says I called and said "You MUST take us to the H right now!!!!" (I don't recall). Several stiches later we were home and in a couple of days he was no worse for the wear, but it is defintitely scary!!!! pixiedust:

Hope all is going to be okay. Know the feeling well as do most of us with kids at one time or another. Calm down Mom and breath. All will be better tomorrow. What kind of ride was this? My two have had some crazy trips to ER too. We have son sliding on new kitchen floor in sock feet who proceeds to slide into window sill with his throat. Just moved to new town and hospital was 30 miles away. DD following uncle in shop and runs head first into a vice. Concussion you bet. Now we have to visit Grandma in WV three weeks later and bruised but better. No way falls out of the back of pickup face first onto side walk. I threatened to put bubble wrap around them. :grouphug: :grouphug:
