WHAT? You're going to wait THAT long? Oh, come on....hunt us down in the terminal at least! :)
Look for me....I'll be the one in the ash colored shirt with the ice cream cone on it! :lmao:

I really want to meet your family!!

I forgot about the terminal, but I am usually "all business" when I'm in the terminal,
1. right line
2. right paperwork
3. passports,
4. phone
5. camera
6. when can I board so I can make our Palo brunch reservations
7. who's going on the spa tour?
8. where is Randy and his family----they said they'd be here!
9. are mom and dad here yet? will they know what to do if I don't give them all of the info I know?
10. do any of you have a pen???

You know all the usual craziness that starts in your mind as you ascend the escalators!

Who knew you were supposed to RELAX when you got to port???!!!
I really do try to enjoy even that part of the cruise!

OK, I'll look for the Lady wearing the ice cream cone shirt!!! :lmao:

susan

ps. I have no clue what I'll be wearing that day???!!! I'll be smiling though! :)

Me and my Hubby are going on our first DCL trip. Whe have three children that will not be coming. We are taking them next Sep/2007 when our whole family and several friends are going. In 2007 we are renewing our wedding vowls so this is a "trial run" for us! I am so excited I don't think I can wait! We LOVE Disney. We have done Disney Paris twice and DisneyWorld several times and have DisneyLand season passes!
How formal is the formal night? I have to start packing today!
Welcome soothy :cheer2: ! It's me, Sandi, DH, Larry, and DS, Caleb (11) on our 2nd Disney cruise. Last time for formal, DH rented the tux and we had it waiting for us in our stateroom. DS wore a suit, but unbeknownst to us he had outgrown his dress shoes, so we have formal pictures with him wearing flip-flops with his suit. This time DH is just wearing a suit (trying to save some money). DS is wearing navy blazer with navy Dockers-type pants.

Nikon D50!
I tried in vain to get the D200's kit lens, however, no one in CT or NY (including B&H has the lens alone). So, we went with the D50 kit lens an 18-55mm.

Is it something that someone can pick up for you and bring to the ship? Someone in....OHIO, possibly?

WELCOME Soothy....and Congratulations on becoming a DISer !!
You'll get the hang of it, and pretty soon you'll be addicted like the rest of us!

All caught up...just in time to leave!

STILL NO DOCS HERE.....saving my pennies for the DRINKS I'm going to be stuck buying!
:goodvibes

So who is left on the list of those people who may be buying the first round??? We need to keep track, don't want anyone getting off easy :lmao:

We haven't received our docs and are supposed to receive them the end of this week...the suspense is killing me...do we buy the first round or not???!!

Wait until my husband gets back home...maybe the docs will be here before him??!!

What a mystery??!!

Who else is left?

So, do those sunscreens block all the bad rays? I forget which ones weren't being blocked before, that let the bad rays in.
You need to chase the bad rays away, like this:

:welcome: !! My wife (Rebecca) and I are taking our 2nd DCL cruise. We are leaving our 2-year old daughter with her grandparents at WDW while we are on the cruise.

For formal night I will be wearing a black suit and my wife has a nice black & white formal dress that she loves! We decided to save money and not rent me the 007-wear.

Welcome Soothy! Glad you followed the link I left for you on the main forum.

This is a great group of people and I hope you can spend some time in the next 18 days getting to know everyone.

Yes unfortunately the cut-off date for the buttons was on Sunday. Mark (aka MarkRG) who is my DH and also the button-meister always makes a few blanks and we bring a sharpie. So come to the DIS meet at 3pm on Saturday and we'll be happy to give you one.

Full details on the DIS meet and aother info on this crazy group can be found on our web page (click on the link in my signature).

Jim/Sharon - Karen/Ray - good luck and be careful....Our news tonight was focused on the fires west of town, not up north...we drove through I-95 closures with fires on both sides in 1999....

Let me just say - Please "pray for rain"!

I agree. Be careful all of you and stay safe.
We'll be praying for you.

Kevin, do you have the Nikon 18-200mm VR lens with your camera? I may have to pirate: it from you!!!

(I'm trying to catch up---something I said I wouldn't do, since the to do list is so long I haven't even made one yet!!!) I'm about 20 pages behind now.

See you all soon!!! I'll be the one with the new camera and a big smile????!!!!

susan
The D50 is a great camera! Diana got that same one a few months back. That's what actually tipped me to the Nikon way since I was looking at both Nikon and Canon. It's better to have one set of lenses instead of two. However, Diana is not as compulsive as I about photography in general :confused3

You can check out the 18-200mm lens! I have found it very useful as a "all around" lens! It's pretty small, fairly light and has good glass. Not great as a macro lens, but then that why they make them interchangeable!!

As I recommeded to Kevin, I HIGHLY recommend Thom Hogan's guides. His D50 guides is here

http://www.bythom.com/d50guide.htm

This will help you get up to speed on how to maximize the camera before the cruise!!
