Well, I got out of cooking dinner last night...but not exactly in the way that I would have wished. I had a little accident. NO...not while cooking!

Stupid story, actually. I was sitting on a footstool, asking my guys what they wanted for dinner, when the stool decided to collapse. (must truly be diet time). Anyway, some of you know that I have a bad back to begin with....and I didn't do it any favors last night. I was pretty miserable. It seems to be a whole lot better this morning, just a little touchy, so I guess I didn't do any more permanent damage. But I'm going to have to be darn careful for a while. All I could think of was this cruise.......I really thought I had blown it big time!

Hey - you better be careful. Thank goodness it was a foot stool and not a BAR stool. Longer to fall you see. I'm glad you're feeling better. Boy, what some people won't do to get out of cooking.... Must take it easy for the next 4 weeks now.

Maria -- I thought of you this morning. I was folding clothes and had the tv on Martha. Johnny Damon was the guest. Seems like a nice guy. They had a bunch of little league kids on the show all wearing yankee shirts. Said the Yankees won last night, was that the game you went to???

Pam - I'm actually very impressed with the way he's been playing. Awesome, quite frankly. I was SUPPOSED to go to that game, but the weather made me and the little guy stay home. My DH and DS (AJ) went. AJ is a die-hard Yankee fan. They got rained on and that's exactly what I didn't want to happen to me. I knew Anthony would not want to stay for the entire game and didn't want to deal with the arguing. It was an exciting game though. Lots of missed plays, etc. Our next game is May 10th against the RED SOX!!!!! I will definetly be at that game.

So you were watching MARTHA, huh? Sometimes she just gets on my nerves. Good to watch while doing clothes though. When you're done, feel free to come over and finish up mine. I'll pay ya for it!!!!!

They can't keep them??? I know if they get cash tips, they have to pool that together and split it amongst all of the counsellors, but I had heard gift cards were theirs to keep.....and everytime we've handed one over to a counsellor, they've immediately put it in their pocket!!

We started by getting international phone cards at Sam's Club but then heard most CM's have cell phones and don't need them. So we switched to $10 Wal*mart cards. Usually the kids give out 2 or 3 to their favorite counsellors. They go up that person and say "I just wanted to tell you that you made my cruise MAGICAL.....so I want you to have this to thank you." The CM's almost always are flabbergasted!! They have been near tears. They hug the kids and are just smiles for a long time. No way *I* could do their job!!!

There is a Wal*mart near the port--and the "Fun Bus" will take them there on Port Canaveral days.

OM - thanks. That's just what I got - $10 Wal-Mart cards. I just picked up 2 yesterday and everytime I go in I'll pick a few more up. And if we don't use them all, I'll put them to good use.

I had heard that there was a Wal-Mart close-by, but wasn't sure. Even better that they get to have them for themselves. So many different things people have posted about if they keep them, if they have to pool them. It's just a way to say thanks for all you've done.

Cody and DH back from vet. Doesn't look too serious, just got ointment/cream to put on it. If he starts to lick it, we have to put the cone/collar on. Then he looks like space dog. The things we do for love.

Poor Cody! Those cone collars are awful. When Uno wears one, he can't fit through doorways!

No...no more broken this time, I hope. I broke my first vertebra in the ninth grade, and have broken 3 more since then. It's now degenrative. have to be careful, since they won't operate for a few more years at least. Can't afford to lose any more.

Ok....got some before and after pictures for you. There are still a few odd things that need to be done, but for the most part, they are done!! Everytime I go outside I just can't BELIEVE this is our house!!!
btw, the front of the house is done in a faux shake siding. The rest is done is the same color but the regular siding look.

Very nice, OHM! We had an estimate on Monday, getting another tonight and another tomorrow. Insurance only paid to repair the missing siding/trim, but trying to match 15 y/o siding did not appeal to us. Plus the rest of the siding looks as if it could blow off any time, so we've decided to get the whole house done ($$$ ) after the cruise. Ours is clay color w/brown shingles, no shutters. Don't know if we'd change colors or not.

OUCH, Stacey! DH had a ruptured disk 10 years ago, and I know how much pain he was in before his surgery. Take the next month off; no cooking, no cleaning, nothing at all strenuous .

Oh man, I remember when Maggie had that on for two weeks (one week post spay, the next week for complications after spay)....

Her favorite thing was to run up behind you and go between your legs. Well, with the sattelite dish on her head that meant you got chopped in the back of the knees everytime she came near. Yeouch!

Glad it's not too serious for Cody.

Now that you have mentioned Maggie with her space helmet on coming up behind, all I can do is laugh, Yikes, Cody is a lot of dog as it is. He does hate his space helmet.
