Can't do that. See, it's FRESH. NO preservatives. So it will only last a couple of days before getting moldy.

But...for some odd reason, my kitchenaid does a much better job making the regular recipe (which makes TWO loaves) than it does making a 1/2 recipe (enough for our family).....

So everytime I make it I have to find someone to give the spare loaf to. Usually I'm walking down the street with a hot loaf of homemade bread looking for a neighbor that is home.

The cherry blossoms should be at peak. Just starting to open yesterday so by next weekend it will be magnificent. (as long as we don't get heavy rain and wind)

I am baking cup cakes today for family birthday celebration for Jeanne and Nick, nephew who is coming on the cruise. I haven't baked cup cakes in years and years. Nothing fancy but I did buy the decorating icing in a can. I thought I could at least spell out their names on the tops of the cup cakes.

We're getting ready to leave for DS's first band solo contest. He doesn't seem at all nervous. It's another cold, cloudy day here, and there's still patchy snow on the ground from our Tuesday blizzard. Have a great Saturday, everyone.

Let's see...what am I doing today? Well, right now I'm STILL in my PJs checking out the boards. Kids are downstairs playing. Next, I need to do that laundry thing again. Folding and ironing(cause they sat in the basket too long). Then when DH gets home from work, around 3:00, I'm going shopping for some cruise clothing. Then tonight, we too are going out to dinner with friends. Just adults. It's much more relaxing and enjoyable that way.

No sports today. Yeah!!!! Basketball finished last weekend. That has the longest season of them all. I much prefer baseball.

So, that's what I'm doing today. Weather is overcast and cool today. Where the heck is Spring??? Oh, I forgot, we don't have Spring around these parts anymore. Someone just hits the switch and it goes from 50's to 70's all in one week. I hate when that happens.

Everyone have a great Saturday. Only 9 more weeks until we're all together. Can we get a group Awwwww? Very good.

Oh yeah...now that we have the extra bedroom I have to get in there and clean it out cause that's going to be the "cruise" room for the next 9 weeks. The remnants of the boys are still in there. They just moved into our old Master Bedroom and I didn't officially clean out the old room yet. Lots of stuff for the HEFTY bag, if you know what I mean??? And while they're playing downstairs, now may be a good time to dispose of those things. Let me go. I'll be back later.

Hey Fran -- did you get my PM about Kelly's shirt? We have already started quite a bit of our cruise shopping. Everytime I am out and see something, I buy it. Daughter and I are pretty much taken care of. Bought son 2 new swim trunks and 3 new shorts this last week. Found some great deals on the sale rack at Kohl's for hubby a few weeks back. (Shorts for $5 and docker's dresss slacks for $9) Can't beat that.

Thanks! We didn't stay around for the final results. We'll find out tonight at church from our pastor's wife. She was his accompianist and a judge for some of the other instruments. Caleb plays trumpet (actually coronet), and school colors are ORANGE and BLUE. He didn't play his best, but was nervous and had a valve stick. Not bad for his first time. Of course, we're very proud .

Good morning all. Hit some estate sales this a.m., bought nothing. Did better yesterday. I bought a vintage bracelet that looks like it has rhinestone Mickey heads! Now I don't want to sell it.

Alicia is on Spring Break next week. Three different teachers gave her projects, I guess they thought it was "Spring Homeschool Week". Good thing we aren't going anywhere.

Nine more weeks? Oh my! I'd better get busy.
