Hello Everyone! I "lurk" the thread pretty often. WOW...I have a hard time keeping up with everyone! You are a busy bunch! Any way...We (DHtb, Ds 10, Dd 13 (14 at cruise) and ME!) will be cruising with you in May! :cheer2:

Is there a teen group that is "chating"?..Did I just overlook it? My daughter is a bit bashful and I would like for her to meet others before we leave.

One other little item...why would DCL substitute Nassau for coz...rather than Grand Cayman? You guys have all the answers! :goodvibes

As always, I'll be "lurking"...

Shiann
welcome Shiann!Pretty name!!!!!!

Montgomery is really growing! I hope you will be happy! Where are you moving from?

My neice just moved to Wetumpka. That's sounding like an "out in the country" kinda name to me. :) I have NO idea where it is. :) Alabama somewhere. :lmao:

Maybe the jeep has gone to its rightful owner. Hasn't Jim said all along that the jeep belongs to Matt? I'm thinking he's probably fully licensed now.

Yikes! That reminds me. In two months, our DD is eligible for her learner's permit. But she can't take driving school until we get back from the cruise, so we'll wait.

Matt's birthday isn't until April and because he procrastenated last year on getting his permit, he won't be fully licensed unitl July. But, Jim is fixing the jeep up. Today he ordered a new top for it. (Scuba Mom - I always forget to sign myself in and it automatically comes up to Jim's Screen name)

Based on what Jim said, I'm NOT voting for Nassau!

I'm with you. This time I would be fully informed of what the Shark Dive consists of and would rather they not do it. I think I'm ok with the Wall Dive idea. If we to Nassau - I know I won't be getting off. Been there, done that.

Shiann -- I have used Priceline several times in Orlando when we get in late at night. The last 3 times I have received the Marriott (prices ranging from $45 to $60). They have a shuttle and will pick you up at the airport. Last time, hubby took the shuttle back early in the morning to go and pick up the car to avoid an extra day charge. They worked out great. Nothing special about the rooms. I was hoping for queens, but they were doubles.

Woo hoo, another toppirate:

Wetumpka is a nice area...Montgomery suburb. It's not country (anymore).

Sharon or Jim -- could you provide us with the web address for the place where you special ordered Lisa's dress. I have bought one for Ashley, but I am going to have to take it to a seamstress to have it taken in. It is beautiful and much more grown up than some of her other dressy dresses, but it just doesn't fit her well in the bodice area.

Nassau also reminds me of the trip where I was "sure" I knew what my kids wanted to do on vacation more than they did. I booked the trip to Atlantis and the aquariam (sp??). Lisa was so upset with me. She didn't want to go once we were on the ship. They were learning to draw Mickey in Animators Palate which is what she wanted to do. I had already booked the tickets, so we went. On the same trip, I made Matt go to a show and dinner with us only to find out, he wanted to be in the Lab because they were playing hockey on the sports deck. I learned my lesson on that trip. Despite all my good intentions of trying to make the cruise "perfect" for everyone, I made them frustrated. So, now I provide suggestions if I think something looks like fun for them, but it is their vacation too. So, if Matt's idea of fun is eating two meals a night, missing every show and sleeping in Diversions while catching a sporting event, I will celebrate that.

JB's is only about 20 miles from the port, as the crow flys or manatees swim.

However, by road it is about 60 minutes.

Kikipug, do you agree?

I never really thought about it... I haven't been to the port in years, so I don't remember how far it is... past few cruises have been out of Miami...

Same goes for me... been there, hated that!!! But would love an extra 'sea' day.

Jim went thru ebay. It is listed as http://stores.ebay.com/bridalshoponline

Their site address seems to be www_bridalshoponline_com
