While I was on the phone with my TA, she put me on hold & called DCL to apply my final payment & request the credit. So, go through your TA to get the credit.

Ang

When I booked this cruise in October 05 - My TA (supposedly) gave the code "DCC" so I should be getting the $50 credit. Hope so!

Gotta say boarding was MUCH more exciting than curling!!! Who thought of THAT?????

Geez, gone for 4 hours and I have a ton of pages to catch up on...

An amusing curling story - we did a temporary assignment in Alberta, Canada for 1 1/2 yrs and moved back just before the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics. Driving back to Texas during the move - we stopped overnight in Park City. The next morning at breakfast - the U.S. Curling coaches were seated at the breakfast table next to us - Mike was so thrilled to be next to famous athletes - and probably the only American 7 year old not only know what curling was but also to be excited over its athletes...

we wanted to learn the sport while we lived there - just never could get our schedules coordinated with our neighbors who were on a co-ed curling team.

Speaking of roller coasters (well... we were when I started this post...)... I am taking Elizabeth to Busch Gardens for her birthday next Saturday... she knows that she can invite 4 friends... she wants to invite the boy (God forbid I call him her BOYFRIEND...) who she hangs out with 24/7... I tried to tell her that he probably doesn't want to spend the day with 5 girls and me (then again maybe he does???)... would you guys let her invite him, or encourage her to invite another one of her girlfriends????

Speaking of nothing planned.....are we doing a "book exchange" - we mentioned once about --20000 posts ago. If we are, great, if not, there is a stack I can recyle at the book store..... :goodvibes

I'm still up for an exchange - less to pack - more to read!!!

Nope... the front row of Krakken is NOTHING compared to jumping out of a perfectly good airplane at 14,000 feet!!!! Talk about 'facial reconstruction!!!'

o.k. so WHY and WHAT possessed you to jump out of a perfectly good airplane that was going to land anyway.... :confused3

(finally decided that I was close enough to the catching up I could post - the boards were moving soooo slow, I didn't want to keep waiting just to go back to where I posted....)

My vote would be "yes" - I had a good-friend-who-just-happened-to-be-a-boy growing up. In high school - while I had 2 close girlfriends, I had a very good-friend-who-just-happened-to-be-a-boy and several years later I ended up marrying him...

The important thing is if you like him and if he's o.k. with it - than why not...

My vote would be yes, also. My oldest DD had a friend-that-was-a-boy about that age. They went a lot of places together. Even through her going to college he was still the friend-that-was-a-boy. Nice kid and nothing romantic ever went on between them (to the disappointment of DD after awhile). She's married to someone else, now, and lost touch with friend-that-was-a-boy. We wonder what happened to him from time to time.

whew I m glad I am not the only one! LOL We have nothing planned except to play it by ear :cool1:

Us either, we have been to Costa Maya twice, been to Cozumel numerous times and like I previously mentioned it is not my favorite, I am not a big beach person but for some reason we have always enjoyed CC, hense booking this cruise, we are just going to relax, hang out and relax.

The stingrays are neat in their own way, and like cute little puppies.....

I think I enjoyed Stingray city as it amazed me being our in the middle of the ocean and having them swim around, eat out your hand, very different to being in a controlled environment where they are an exhibit.

How about this one?

Perfect. But you found it on a scuba board??? I wanna be able to use it here. LOL

Ohiomommie... sorry dahling. I hope your puppy isn't making you as tired now. :)

I can't take anything like benadryl/etc. Everything like that works OPPOSITE for me- makes me hyper hyper. :confused3 in the past I have tried sleeping "helpers" (even some by prescription)-none ever helped. :confused3

Okay someone tell me- how do you see how many posts you or someone else has on a THREAD here? All I can see is total posts on this board under our names over there... where do you find how many posts you've done in a single thread?
And finding it hard to believe we weren't the #1 thread already. you mean some other thread is as hopping as this one?!?!???!!!!

(ps. what do you mean old thread? Was there another one of THESE threads and for some reason had to start a new one? Did it get too long or something?)

Just a thought - you came after the threads on MY motion sickness....I missed formal night as we were in 14 foo seas and passed through the outskirts of Gamma.....many of the crew were green...So, come prepared. I am still not sure what seasick medicine I will bring. The bands did not work, the electric wrist bands did not work, ginger did not work, oil of something behind my neck did not work.....This time, DRUGS.

Disney CC does not have salt water and nasty sand....They have a family beach, chairs, warm breezes and memories.

Well, wine does not count as drinking, It is part of a heathy heart!

I take dramimine on every cruise, TG we have never had to use it, last springbreak I opened it for a friend the first night, it was not even rough seas but he took some and was fine for the remainder of the cruise.

Perhaps it is a planned concept...So that all of you with kids that have done the breakfast will skip it....then all of us, who have yet to do the breakfast, will wander into an empty room and have them all to ourselves :teeth:

Yep, but what about your next cruise when it is the saaaaaamme characters???

Before you pay for the cruise, are you sure you would not be happpier with a land trip, such as one to St, Thomas where DH can dive, dive, dive and you and the kids can go to the national park and hike. They may even have a dolphin excrusion there. Or perhaps the Eastern Cruise would be more to your likeing, with St. Thomas and St. Maarten. These ports are not hurricane damaged. There are 3 sea days, not 2 so you would be able to enjoy the character breakfast without a rush. There would be less chance of a change of plans...Look at the website and think about it. It might suit you better with less chance for disappointment for the amount of money you are paying.

In fact the more I think about the two cruises, you may well enjoy the Eastern much, much better based on all of the above. No tendering probrlems, no notice for Disney to change ports at the last minute, most likely dolphin adventure, possibly twice. Only one time for CC so you don't have to wrry about sand and breakfast.....

We have done 3 DCL all eastern and 2 we had port changes on, it is a fact of cruising in the Carribean!!! St.Maarten is a very difficult port to get into if the seas are rough and our first DCL they decided not to go, the ships that went could not leave for 3 or 4 days and spent all the time stuck there.

And needawdwtrip, the kids are not the only ones who cry.....there apparently is lots of dust that gets into the adults eyes as well

We have learnt to always have our next cruise booked and sometimes like this year the kids get to stay behind, it makes it not so stressful leaving the ship. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If she's THAT into dolphins you might want to check out Discovery Cove at Sea World in Orlando (or do they have one at the Texas Sea World)

I have DONE the dolphin thing in Cozumel. I can give you a full account of how many hours I stood around WAITING for the next step to happen (wait here 30 minutes while we get you off the ship) (wait here 20 minutes while we get you a wrist band) (wait here 25 minutes while we get the group cabs--3 people at a time) (wait 30 minutes here while we wait for the last of the group to catch up in their cabs) (wait here 30 minutes while we get your life vests) (wait here) (wait here) (wait here) (wait here).....

It'd be interesting to price out what I paid PER MINUTE to actually be with the dolphins.

NOT saying it wasn't an incredible experience. It was VERY cool. But it was also VERY irritating to wait and wait and wait and force myself not to have a crappy attitude b/c I was there with ds and HE was excited to see the dolphins (dh and dd were doing the ruins, so I was alone with ds)

We haven't checked it out yet, but I've heard Discovery Cove, while expensive, offers you more time with the actual dolphins. So dollar for dollar it's probably cheaper per minute of dolphin time.

I have looked into Discovery cove, just waiting for DS to be a bit older as he is so small and not a strong swimmer, we want to do the sleepover dolphin experience, I have friends who have done the day trip, you get much more time with the dolphins than the other places and they say it is awesome, it is also a whole day experience, this is on the cards for us in 2007.
