I have looked into Discovery cove, just waiting for DS to be a bit older as he is so small and not a strong swimmer, we want to do the sleepover dolphin experience, I have friends who have done the day trip, you get much more time with the dolphins than the other places and they say it is awesome, it is also a whole day experience, this is on the cards for us in 2007.

I've been wishing and dreaming for a sleepover in 2007, too! We'll have to see how the student loan repayment goes...

Shelley, if you go back to the main page where all the cruise meets are listed and click on the "posts" heading - you'll find the list of who's posted and the number of times posted...

I think the "other" thread is from the Christmas cruise where several of these cruisers cruised together before, had so much fun and decided to rebook together again.

Let's start a club...the STINGRAYS ARE CUTE club! :)
THey must feel so disinfranchised that ppl don't think they are cute and that dolphins get all the lovin' :lmao:

I think they are cute and at our new aquarium they have tons in the huge tank and everytime I see them I am in awe as how graceful the look swimming like a flock of birds in the sky!!

I'll join the club, I love dolphins too and while at Disneys beach house there were some swimming in the water alongside the beach and the kids ran with them down the beach, it was gorgeous.

Ladies and gents, it's looking more like we are not going to Cozumel.

just found out about may 6th cruise and...

Mind you they are detouring to CM, which we're going to already.
So here's hope for GC! I would DEFINITELY do Stingray City again.
This time let's do a Captain Marvin's!

Thanks, I checked the site that the thread listed and we are still in Coz....
But then, so were they yesterday, I guess....But it is the charm time for the coz dive for Jim.....

But then, I vote for GC...

We swam with the stingrays in Belize (my report didn't get that far yet) ....these guys were out there in the wild, with the sharks. I thought it was very cool!

If we do end up going to Grand Cayman...I may very well consider Stingray City!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

I was nervous to go but loved it and would love to take my kids if we went.
We booked thru the cruise for that excursion as I didn't want to be 6 miles out and miss the boat!

I'm not that disappointed about possibly not going to Cozumel. We've stopped there twice on cruises and it's been rainy and miserable both times. I'm sorry for those who have planned excursions, though.

We've been to Grand Cayman once and loved it. It was truly beautiful. But to be truthful, we might just stay on the ship during one of those port days. Last year, we stayed behind in St. Thomas and we had a simply wonderful day. There was absolutely no line at the Mickey slide which delighted DD5. We had our choice of tables at the buffet and by the pools. DH spent alone time at the adult pool and we had spa treatments at discounted prices. We really enjoyed ourselves.

That being said, please don't do what we did because we want you all to get off the ship so we can have it to ourselves. :rotfl2: :rolleyes1 :cool2:

Can we talk about Sea World on this site? We just went for the first time and it was so much fun. It will not replace Epcot on our Orlando trips, but there is a new Dolphin show - forget the actual name, and that show was spectacular. The dolphins appeared to really enjoy their work. They could not wait to get started. I liked that better than the Shamo show, which is the signiture one.

My other favourite spot was the sea lions. Many are blind, and most are rehabilitated, 'cept for the youn ones, who are sooo cute. We fed them, nice, cold, slimey raw fish....and tried to make sure the female who was totally blind caught hers. You had to toss it into her face. The handlers told us they monitor the food that is fed, by the public and then supplement the diet for the shy. (Hah) if there were any shy ones......

I would like to go again and have time to walk around the gardens and sample a little more of the product. (you know). Since we were going to V/A that night, we left early. oh, well another trip..

I think some of the Discovery cove packages include Sea world or Busch gardens with them.

I'm helping our DD5 make heart-shaped meatloaf and heart-shaped jello on clouds of Cool Whip for dinner. I'm trying to figure out how this meal covers all the major food groups.

Yep, I did a creative search of DCL/Disney Magic from now thru August, and the only ones stoping there are the 3 runs in May/June,none before or after. It also lists one stopping there tomorrow, but I know that isn't happening.

If we don't go there, I too will be sorry that plans will have to be changed. But I also wasn't that much looing forward to going there.

Hi all -- I checked that site as well and so far we are the first cruise listed to go back into Cozumel. I am not so sure that won't change though, because I had checked that site 2 days ago and everything was still showing DCL going there. I think everyone that is planning on an excursion should have one in mind for GC. We loved the stingray excursion there and if we do go to GC, we will probably do that and not do the one at CC.

Wow and a top to boot!pirate:

This is probably a major blunder, but we didn't go to the Character Breakfast on our Eastern cruise because it was our first morning on the ship and the time change really got to us.

Is the cruise Character Breakfast a lot more fun than breakfasts at the park? Maybe we should plan on going this time.

Oh yeah! I have dove with Neptune divers before. Small, but good operation!

I'm with you 100% on the respect issue. Some kids today don't even know what it symbolizes. My DH and I hate when we're at a Yankee game and some people don't take off their hats or teach their children that. My boys know right away to take your hat off. Or, when people are talking and not paying attention during the National Anthem. I feel like my mother saying all this, but it's true.

I agree with you and I get so tearful and I've only been an American for 3 years!!!

Doesn't really make a difference to me. Both locations have many different things to do. It would be nice to know so we can make and cancel plans. :thumbsup2

In view of the possibility, I made up a new siggie pic...

waaaa....i gotta go to the dentist. just a bi-manual cleaning :lmao:

not looking forward to it. i love my dentist....'cept i bit a tic-tac the other day and now something is sharp on my tooth. i'm hoping it's just a little chipped edge....easily sanded....and not a cracked filling....ugh.

btw, when mike was in medical school (or in residency, can't remember) he'd always refer to his "bi-manual evaluation" instead of "bi-annual evaluation." well, women will understand this....when you go to your annual exam, and one hand is on top and the other in....that's the "bi-manual exam".....so...when mike said he got his "bi-manual evaluation" I'd crack up....

nevermind. inside joke. ;) :lmao:

You crack me up!!!

That's cute!
I'm glad our Cozumel excursion is booked through DCL. That will make it a whole lot easier, if we change ports.

Good Grief, you people!!! I FINALLY go to work for once, and have 9 pages to catch up on!!

Work is progressing nicely on the apartment. I had to go to the Mothership again today. Made an executive decision while Jay was gone...going to have new countertops installed! Yippeeeeeee!!!!

Signing out....guess we're going to dinner somewhere...but I don't know where.

Just watching the news on TV. The Bush administration is really getting bashed for not "announcing" Cheney's incident soon enough. Have the Democrats forgotten about Ted Kennedy???? They're standing up there spouting about how horrible it is...blah blah blah....but yet, Kennedy killed a woman, waited to consult his attorneys.... and he's still a senator. What makes him above everyone else? Please.

Oops...sorry. Guess that's too politcal. Still, not erasing it.
