I don't think they have a couple of years left (HA HA). I guess those of you with the older teen daughters had better share any advice you have to those of us with pre-teen daughters who think they are older teens!!!! Jim says he will be fine in a few years when Lisa starts dating - I have my sincere doubts about that. Maybe that is why is being so supportive of my taking Lisa to Longwood (45 minuites away) for gymnastics starting this spring for 5 nights a week. I will definetly being taking her out of the social scene for the time being since we will go directly from school to gym each night.

DH is investing in a shotgun soon!!

3rd graders are RUTHLESS!

Oh yes we had a great 3rd grade year with DD, some of the comments were unbelievable and things that give you a rapid wake up call!!

You've already got it. About the only thing you can do, is keep them involved in things....other than boys and parties. Not that there won't be boys and parties...but if they are focused on something else that they enjoy too, they're more likely to stay on the straight and narrow.

Meeting boys at the door with a shotgun in your hands helps, too.
You just pretend that you're cleaning it.

We won't be using the excuse of cleaning it!
DD11 is in Jazz, gymnastics, bat mitzvah club, hebrew school so I am hoping there won't be time for boys anytime soon

Must be time for everyone to be heading out for there superbowl parties which is a game that I don't watch and happy it is so slow that DH doesn't watch.

I really need to add some pics etc to my profile so I can take up some more space to get more tops!!

Okay I'm off to clean house and do some laundry

as that magical person with PD hasn't shown up to do any of it and tomorrow I will wonder what I was thinking
not doing the cleaning on the weekend.

well I'm still here trying to get motivated to do housework, luckily most of the laundry DH did yesterday but I'm sure more has accumulated as it is never ending.

Done most of the other fun things already and now just the yuck stuff left to do,

can you all see I am just blabbermouthing away here for the sake of it!!

3rd grade???? The 2nd graders were discussing and trying to practice French kissing last year - some of it was amusing innocence...some we got the inappropriate language and touch memo last year from school....eeekkkk!!!

I just finished cleaning downstairs and working on a few loads of laundry, too...Don't know why I bothered cleaning downstairs, the kids will be over here and it'll get messed up again...oh well... (maybe I'll take a page out of my grandmother's book and encase everything in plastic... )

We're still here. I've been doing laundry, cleaning bathrooms and tossing out the last of the funeral flowers. I wish flowers would last forever. At least these lasted a week...and I was still able to put a few in a smaller vase.

Better toss myself in the shower now. Almost time to go.

Got DH to do the last load of laundry before going to pick up DD, vacumned and cleaned, threw out some stuff lying arund too.....while the kids were out but still have some more to do before we head out.
