Emily is still running a fever today so no gymnastics for her this morning. I guess we won't be doing much today.

I haven't seen "O" but have seen other Cirque shows in Vegas. They are awesome! One of my best friends saw "O" and said that it was unbelievable.

Edited to add: The first time Bruce & I saw a Cirque show the tix were only $40 max. It's amazing how much they have gone up in price.

I would love to see O, does that count? Last trip to Vegas was for a dance comp with DD. We went to see the Blue Man Group. Not my cup of tea, but she loved it and still talks about it. Next time, it will be a show I want to see.

Finally called Kevin last night. The dives went well yesterday, the weather cooperated. Sam and Irene are there too. That's all I've got, it was slightly after 10 pm in FL, and Kevin was falling asleep.

"O" is Fantastic! Fascinating & worth every penny. I could see it 10 times and not get tired of it.
We stayed out way too late last night, but I discovered that I can run circles around a 23 year old! Not bad for 40-something!
There's a Cheer Competition in town this weekend....our floor is filled with them....I had to open my door and have a word with a few of them this morning, they were hollering at eachother from four doors down. LISA has followed me to Vegas! LOL But I told Megan that when I get home, I'm going to ask Jordan's coach if I can talk to our girls about proper hotel behavior. Some of these (really little!) girls are wandering the casino alone, and sitting on the floor of the elevators, just going for the ride. Way too dangerous.
Anyway, we are having a great time. Laughing till our sides ache at nothing in particular. So nice to have time with my DD just as friends.

It has been colder and snowier than in past Decembers but nothing too bad. Funny you should mention last year. I just posted on the old thread that we sailed one year ago today! A year ago this time Mark and I were waking up in Vero Beach about to head to the port for our awesome 10 day cruise. My how time flies!

Good morning all!

Emily still has a slight fever - 99. I really hope she can break it today.

I need to do some last minute shopping for stocking stuffers. Bruce hasn't bought anything for his mom or brother, but that's his problem.

Yesterday afternoon the girls & I put together a gingerbread house. It was fun. They are getting excited about Santa Claus coming next weekend.

We watched our DVD of our vacation to WDW (Sept. 2004) last night. The girls are watching it again this morning. It makes me want to go back! Emily asked if we could go back next year and not do the cruise! We told her that we're doing the cruise and that we could go to WDW some time after the cruise.

Same with the kids' musical. In fact, I'm up to EIGHT times and I still love it.

Although yesterday the director was not there for the matinee show and there were a lot of shenanigans, a lot of dropped lines, and some planned mischief on stage. Boy did they ever get in trouble when she got back for the evening show.

Needless to say, the evening show was the BEST one they had so far!!

One more show and then it's over.

Hello everyone. We have a busy Christmas coming up. This year instead of going on a cruise, we are going to spend Christmas in Gorgia this year. Well my gymnastics season is going to start in January. Matthew got his second degree black belt. We might be going to Alaska this summer if my mom works it out. Well I have to start my Social Studies Fair Project.

Little gymnast...........I forgot to give your mom Kelly's meet schedule. She is at the Critique Meet at Lightning City, The Sand Dollar Meet at Disney, The Pike's Peak, in Colorado Springs, Flamingo Fling in Altamonte Springs and The Charleston Cup in S.C. We're excited and a bit nervous, since Kelly made the jump from AAU 4 to USA 7 this year.

All our christmas shopping is done, except for our good friends/neighbors. That should be taken care of this afternoon

Then we can finally relax!

We've been there.....and did not like it. We've decided to treat that day as a day at sea, this cruise, I think. The port area itself is very new. The have tried to make it very appealing. (Just don't look up at the army men patrolling the roof with HUGE guns)
The merchandise you can buy right there is the same as in EVERY port. Last year we took a taxi to the small near by fishing village. VERY........"rustic" (yea,,,,that's a good word for it) I might say. You might enjoy it, but it made our 9 year old "nervous".

Fran - Thanks for the post about Costa Maya. I have been fussing about the port change from Coz to Nassau on our Jan cruise. Guess it wouldn't matter.
