What happened to sunny Florida? :confused3

I'm wondering the same thing myself. :confused3 I just checked the Orlando 15 day forecast and see there are chances of rain EVERY day we'll be at WDW, but looks like 12/20 & 21 are going to BE rainy. Oh well - Pam, we need to pack ponchos. :umbrella:

Edit: Looky there! I got a TOP and didn't even know it!!!

FYI - Anyone who has DiscoveryHD, there's a "Behind the Scenes" at WDW show on right now....

Looks like the weather won't be cooperating with us for the Thursday dives in Boca.

THURSDAY...SOUTH WINDS 10 TO 15 KNOTS. SEAS 2 TO 4 FEET BUILDING
TO 4 TO 6 FEET IN THE AFTERNOON. INTRACOASTAL WATERS A LIGHT CHOP.

Maybe only doing the AM dives that day....... :confused3

And then add a foot or two for the Gulf Stream. It's looking like that for the whole weekend.

Thanks, just put it on.

Just got back from Lisa's band concert. The good part is that she is first chair flute. That is the only reason we could see her. She sat in the front row.

Wern't you the one that says it is only choppy on the surface....and you wonder why I don't dive in the pm...... :teeth:
True!! But six foot seas make it HARD to get back ON the boat!!

I edited my post about Survivor, but watch out for Sharon's post. She quoted me.

Julia, where did you go in Korea, and what did you see? Hadn't thought of Korea as a tourist destination, but maybe you've been everywhere else. Or was it business?

No it was vacation, there are still mounds and mounds of places for me to go that I still want to see, it was very different, we had our kids 7 and 10 at the time so we tried to do 1 cultural thing a day before heading out to do more of the fun stuff.

The gnome's quote is wishful thinking. I don't have a real gnome, although my daughter Jordan played one at school! LOL
When we travel, we take Jared's Pooh bear. He got him when he was about 18 months old and had surgery, and was a constant companion. Now that Jared is a little too "cool" to pack Pooh himself, I pack him!

Our gnome will be joining us on our future travels and we really need to be thinking about getting him a passport not that it is required.

Hi All - What a day! I cancelled Mom's bus yesterday am. Well guess who showed up at 9am today. My driveway is about 45 degree slope and it is ICY! Anyway the bus wasn't going anywhere, then the tow truck showed up and he wasn't coming down the hill, then the 2nd tow truck showed up. I had to leave to get Nick and Emmy but I know a winch around a tree was being discussed. When I got home tonight the dish and fence were intact and no bus or tow trucks in the driveway. I am less than 1/2 mile from the county road but in bad weather it seems much farther. My awd Toyota did just fine, my sweaty palms don't leave marks on the steering wheel.

thanks for sharing the misery...Now I'll be singing it...

Sorry! Maybe this will make you feel better...the other song that's been going through my head ( and I'm sure it's because we'll be there next week for our cruise) is the one that goes "Houston...Houston means that I'm one day closer to you"

Oh thank heavens! I was going to make Pooh bear a passport, and my family said I was crazy. Now I know I'm NOT. Or at least, if I am, I'm not alone!

I have to say, I don't miss those days. I remember driving home from Lincoln (NE) when I was in college. Thanks to the ice on the windshield, I had one small circle to see out of, directly where the defrost was blowing, and I had the wipers going. It was only me and the truckers on the roads. Took me three times longer than normal, but I made it. When I got home, I couldn't unfurl my hands, they had gripped the steering wheel so hard!

Attention Floridians:

I saw a weather warning today when looking at the forecast for the Florida weather for the weekend. This one had me concerned for a bit, then just plain amused!!

RED FLAG WARNING!!

Am I clear, this means the humidity is below 35%????? So now they need a warning to advise folks when the humidity dips?? :earseek: :rotfl: I was thinking it was for hard blowing winds or something........

PAck poncho's and wind jackets - it can be very - very COLD at Candlelight when the wind picks up over the lake....Honest - even in Florida....

Hedgie does not have a passport - but she does have her own Key to the World Card. Was issued by the ticket agent for our first cruise. :rotfl2: No charging privilges - however, second cruise ticket agent was not as perky!!! or imaginative!!!!

Seriously - yes......but, I think it is normally for forested areas - because of potential fire danger.....Still, we spark and crackle here when humidity is low....honest.....

Good morning cruisers!

Happy Wednesday!

Back to work today. Snowing again here but can't complain as we missed the first storm!

WOW a TOP with Hedgie - Great way to start the morning.

Last night's power shopping trip was very successful but no memorable store or sales clerk experiences as we have had in past years. Store decoations seem a bit sparse as well this year (it was my first trip to any mall this season). It was great to spent tme with my girlfriend. I gave her the birthday present I had since September, now that is shameful....New Year's Resolution, put the important things first in 2006!!!!!! :sunny:

Came home last night and Hegie's Tree was leaning at a 25 degree angle, ok now this is not good.....Reason #2 to have extra dive weights.... :rotfl2: And the storage trunk/box/chest arrived for the accumlated dive gear. As we do not have a garage, I needed somewhere other than at the foot of the bed to dump the various fins, masks, cameras etc. I thought of a large (what are they called???? they are tall, have doors and closet racks??) thingy, but that would cover up the wall where and I have no place to move the pictures. So we will see.....still need to find a place to hang wetsuits. thinking of one of those over the door hangers for the spare room.....too much detail, but it is still early and I need coffee!!!!!

Since none of you guys 'fessed up to hiding the presents I cannot find, those were replaced and most everyone on the list is now covered, actually with good stuff! I think I have 2 friends left and they are receiving gift cards, then I will be done....in time for the Dive Trip to the Keys - That is a first, I did not think I was able to spare a weekend this close to Christmas. Safe travels Kevin. :cheer2:

Those of you in the snow and ice conditions - brrr....Keep thinking - at least we don't have hurricanes....Maybe that will help, but seriously, the news posted the deaths already from the storm and it is quite frightening. :cold:

No windowless meetings today for me, I get to stay in the office for a webcast. Natch the meeting is (get this) in KEY LARGO and I am in the office, oh well. At least I have windows.... :wave2:

OK - time for morning chores, I'll check back - Have a great DAY!!!!!
