She knew I wanted one and gave it to me. It is a Phillips HDR 212. Is this even a good unit? Is it going to be worth my time to

Evening All - Welcome back Irene! Sorry about the seasickness. I have had that a time or two, hasn't stopped me yet! I am enjoying your report. Nick, Emmy and my 20yo niece spent the night last night and today I help a food pantry give out Thanksgiving baskets. I am tired! Those frozen 'birds' weigh a TON and how come a 5lb bag of potatoes feels like 30lbs?

Hi Amanda. You went away. I don't know if that's a great Tivo or not, but it's FREE! And Tivo is so worth the trouble. We have a DVD recorder, it's great.

Well, Bonine doesn't knock me out, but I do notice that I want a nap when I take it. It may not affect everyone that way, and I can't actually remember if Alicia took naps, but I know I did!

Thanks to you Diana, Bonine works great for me. I take 1/2 tab b4 dinner and do fine. In Alaska this past summer I was on a catamaran in heavy seas and popped an additional 1/2 and enjoyed the trip, whew!!

Sam came back on day 2 with a drink that the B-tender from Jamica said was to cure me - warm ginger ale and bitters.....OK, I was willing to try anything. I did say I was a bit better the next morning.?????

Hmm... add a shot of Gosling's Black Seal Rum and lime juice, and you've got a "Dark & Stormy"... the official cocktail of Bermuda... and my favorite! (After a few of them, we call them "Dark & Stupids"... aptly re-named one night by a friend of ours who had too many, and looks a lot like Michael Jordan... )

A Dark & Stormy TOP!!! I think I'll celebrate by making myself one right now!!!!

OM, do you think an hour ahead is early enough to get to the theatre? We are going to the noon showing of HP tomorrow, thinking to get there by 11. It's probably a sold out show, since they were only pre-selling a few of them.

Yup. we got there about 45 minutes early on a friday and got primo seats. by 30 minutes before show time all of the center seats were filled and ppl were having to sit on the edges. by 5 minutes before show time ppl actually had to move close together and not leave a buffer seat between themselves and the cootie'd up person next to them!

AGREE wholeheartedly!!!! I refuse to watch TV without my Tivo (or my Time Waner DVR) Love it, Love it, Love it.

While the unit itself may be free, the service plan is not. I want to say something like $10 a month, but don't quote me.

I'm not sure if it was the Bonine that made me want to take a nap or it was the lack of laundry, cooking, dishes, housework, school, etc....

When I have nothing to do, a nap is pure luxury.....most times that coincides with a cruise!

It's a TIVO... so it'll be ok.... It doesn't have a lot of recording time - but should be fine....

Hopefully they survived...... We listened to the game on Sirius while heading to the Marshall game (they lost...). Working tonight because one of my docs grandmothers died on Thursday.... I get to come back to work at 5pm on Sunday... Yea... Oh well.... It's been busy - but not overwhelming yet - just waiting for all of the tests I ordered to come back....

Happy Sunday!

We had a blast yesterday at the DVC reception in Downtown Chicago. It was to celebrate the Magnificent Mile lights festival. Disney is involved every year. This year DVC came along for some of the fun. The reception was for two hours and included a Radio Disney DJ, some silly games, lots of prizes, snacks, etc. Even had an appearance by Chip, Dale, Mickey and Minnie. Worth a ride downtown for. We didn't stay for the lights festival - way too many people for our taste. Instead we came home and watched it on tv. ​
