Greetings all. Thanks for the well wishes on the new moderator status. Basically our job is to do what we've always done. Make the board fun and informative.

Do you have to behave? Yes!

Does LISA have to behave? Yes!

Have we changed? NO! It is still us. :)

We are so glad that "I'm Not Lisa" and Hedgie DO NOT HAVE to behave.......

As for the rest of us,,,,,,,ok - insert an angel smilie here....

There goes all the fun. Does that mean you get to slap us if we misbehave?

If so, come on down here because Sharon has been acting up today! You straighten her out and I'll take you to JB's. Make it on Friday, 11/11 and Sam and Irene will join us. :rotfl:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.........esp. since we are still on limited menus for many of our resturants...........Sam told me last night that he has to work 1/2 day on 11/11 - so that means he will be home around 8:30 am (yes, in the morning) -- then we have to take to cat to the vet to baord the cat (assuming the vet is back open, so far - no...) Or I may take the cat in on Thursday?????
And then we need to get up north....All travel is taking longer to go through Palm Beach County - so still no ETA up your way.

Will it take us normally about 4 hours? Less (I hope?)

It does, supposedly..... with a subscription to XM Traffic

The only problem I see is that it has XM instead of Sirius.... Now if it had Sirius...... Hmmmm..

Good morning all!

Congrats to Mark & Mary!!! Does that mean you'll spending even more time on the boards?

Yesterday is a pretty good day. I talked to the nurse and she suggested taking pain meds every 4 hours instead of 6. She also said that it was ok for me to rest as I am doing. It was nice to tell DH "Ha (I told you so)! I'm ok. Stop pushing me!" You ladies are right about men becoming whimps and wanting to be babied when they're sick. It's killing me that I have to ask him to do things for me. I'd much rather do them myself. I still can't bend over and am not sure when I'll be allowed to do that.

MIL wants to take us out to dinner either tonight or tomorrow night. Think I'll take it easy today so that I'll be up for it tonight. I'll also take 2 pain killers around that time so sitting for dinner will be bearable. MIL leaves on Sun. and my parents arrive to stay through probably T'giving.

Hope everyone has a great weekend planned. Our weather in GA should be beautiful. I'll have to try to make some trips out in to the yard to enjoy some sunshine!

Karen - we share business packing habits.....I thought I was doing well by starting 2 days in advance, but I will defer to the more experienced cruisers and tell Sam we are starting this weekend!!!!!!

What's there to pack?- as long as the swim suits are in - I'm happy! John is the one who does all the packing in our house, making sure I look presentable and following dress code at dinner...

Of course, that means I have to totter around on the 4in heels on formal night which he has packed- praying for calm seas - but, if it means I can fall into the arms of my good looking hubby who's dressed all spiffy in his suit - I'm all for it!!!

Just think of your dh as your own personal cabana boy, stateroom steward, and head waiter - don't we always complain after a cruise, we wish there was someone to cater to our every need, make the beds, clear dishes etc.... :rotfl2:

Thats the easy part! The real question is "Where is the Boat??" :confused3

Awww ... how sweet! You need to make sure your DH read that post. That would be worth some browny points!

Wow - 4" heels. I'm impressed!!! You won't catch me in 4" heels ... can't say that I ever have. I'm always looking for the flattest shoes that I can find. It doesn't help that DH is now shorter than me. We were about the same height before surgery but now I'm definitely taller!

Hi everyone -- just checking in. We still have no news on the vacation issue. The other guy is out on vacation now. Hubby has called him 10 x and he won't call him back now. Hubby was calling on behalf of the supervisor who wants to talk to the other guy. Now today, the supervisor is out, so we will not have this resolved until sometime next week. It is killing my husband. It looks like the main issue now is not the week of the cruise, but the week after the cruise. Because we have AP's, timeshare and free airline tickets, we always stay a week in the parks. If all else fails, we may have to fly him home directly after the cruise and me and the kids would stay the additional week. Of course, this is not our first option, but it may have to be unless they do something.

Will update when I know more.

Pam, that sounds like sort of good news. From what I understood, you won't have to miss the cruise. I think that's great news. We're still sending pixie dust your way so your DH will not have to miss the family time at WDW after the cruise.

Wow, back surgery makes you taller? My short, sports talented nephew would probably go for that!

I know, I know. There has to be a real reason to have surgery.

Well, that makes me feel so much better about Alicia going diving with you.

Hey Pam, glad that at least you can go on the cruise! Rotten that your DH might not get to stay for WDW, but it's kind of fun with just the kids. I've done that annually for the past four years.

OK, it is a little weird that we haven't heard from Stacey. I figure it's got to be one of these reasons: 1) the ship lost its internet connection; 2) the computers are always occupied and she can't get on; 3) Jay prevailed upon her to make their romantic couples cruise all about togetherness; or 4) she's having so much fun she forgot all about us!

I'm betting on #1.
