Getting my daily quota of posts out of the way early, both kids soccer games overlap with only one driver, me, available today. I've thrown myself on the mercy of other soccer moms to get Maggie to her game...

Theatre cast party last night after our theatre group did a traveling show at a church close to our house...Tonight, Mike is having a few close friends over to celebrate his birthday. The younger siblings are all the same age and the younger and older kids are all good friends, they'll be here... since the game is at the same time, just told the parents that they might as well stay, too.

Yesterday afternoon, just had to sit and enjoy my house - 1st time in a long time the entire house, including kids' bedrooms were clean all at the same time...

Fran - stay safe.....Keep Scoopie Dry

Scoopie is safe! He's going to school with me next week, and I'll take pictures. I hope I can figure out how to post them, as I am not very computer savvy.

So far, he's (Scoopie) been very good at watching over all the activity in the den. Kelly will probably take him to the gym one day, just so he can brush up on his beam routine.

Matt and I just got back from WDW, Wide World of Sports. He placed third in sparing. He enjoys kicking and hitting other people.

It was interesting to hear the people from out of state talk about their flights. Several had no clue about a hurricane coming.

Tacky, tacky, tacky....is she expecting gifts, too?

I don't know... we didn't bring one... but then again, we rode the motorcycle, so we had an excuse. (I did buy her a gift... she's a good kid... I'll give it to her Monday at work...) I went out of sympathy more than anything, 'cause I had a feeling hardly anyone from work would show up (and I was right... but we left pretty early.) Wanted to get out and enjoy Biketoberfest... til it started pouring. We got caught in the rain about 8 miles from home. Oh well.

Waiting for Wilma is getting pretty frustrating!!!

long day. left here at 7. just got home. indianapolis and bloomington, IN have the WORST road systems for getting any number of ppl anywhere quickly. what SHOULD have been a 3 hour drive was over 5....EACH WAY!


but we won.... 1/3-1/2 of the stadium was filled with buckeye fans. there were a handful of indiana fans in our section. we drowned them out!

nite all....not catching up tonight.

Karen - watched a tiny bit of the game. It was a sea of red since that is the color of both teams! Happy to hear Ohio State won. Sounds like a long, but fun day!

Another long day here, too. Took the girls (we had Amber) to their Homecoming parade at 8:00....came home, did laundry..and packed. I had to try everything on one more time to decide which things I was taking. My feet and back are killing me.

Does anyone know for certain sure if I can put the plastic bottles of Pepsi in my suitcase, or will they explode on the plane??? There just isn't room in the carry-on.


I stilll have to pick out Jay's clothes and pack them tomorrow. Have to get it done this weekend, too much to do next week.

Good Morning Cruisers.

Spent yesterday at Mother's putting up shutters and taking cat to the vets (why - why now did he get sick). Still waiting to see if we are preparing for a cat 1 or 2???? Will need to go to wrok today to prepare the office. What we thought Friday is now Wrong, of course.

Saw the WS last night while baking pumpkin pies and quiche for today.....The freezer is getting clean before we lose power.

The pumpkins are great - I have one - and I have a knife. The year the Marlin's won, I carved a Fish - it was a good fish but out of context - few guessed. This year, maybe a Wilma? Running...Early mass today, then shutters....

Irene has been sneeking in there!

It's going to rain today so we will spend the day finishing up Lisa's science project. Matt's should get done next week.

The big news for today is that Lisa is a reader at church. Her first time. She will have to use a stook to reach the mic. To celebrate, Matt is cooking a prime rib! I'm sure Stacey would have all kinds of smileys for that!

One can only begin to imagine the destruction down in Cozumel with how long Wilma has been hanging there. Very sad. I'm wondering if my boss is still going on her cruise. Checked the RCCL site and it is now leaving on Tuesday and missing one port - wonder if they can get new flights down.

Did you happen to catch any of the bad calls? I know, whenever there is a penalty against your team, you think it's a bad call, but seriously....they had some BAD calls in this game with penalties no one has ever heard of....

Like "attacking a defenseless player" (??????) KT says the POINT of football is to tackle someone!!! OR....how about the "do-over" they did? After 1/2 time they had the kick off and the receiver dropped the ball.....tons of players jumped on it and the refs couldn't figure out who ended up with it.....so they said "we're going to do the kick off OVER!"

I wouldn't. It's non pressurized and cold down there, besides the handling will shake them up severely. Where are you flying to? Wouldn't there be any opportunity to pick some up in the airport or between the airport and the cruise ship?

And Karen, one of the main reasons we switched to 57 from 65 when going to Florida is to skip Indy. Glad to hear you had a great time tho.
