Angie's 'get well' Mickey-gram arrived on 10.14 according to FedEx... so she MUST know we're thinking about her!!!

Hope all is well with everyone else... it's off to Tommy Bahama's for dinner for me in a few minutes... spent 3 hours this morning in meetings, then spent the entire day in a 'meeting' with my boss and a coworker... poolside next to the ocean on Longboat Key. (Tough job, but somebody's gotta do it.) Tomorrow will be more of the same.... don't know if I can stand it... . (And I do feel this little pang of guilt, as Ray has a super-busy 'event week' at work, AND has the kids to deal with 24/7) But, it will be payback when he's in Miami for work for 8 days, and I'm home with the kids.

Amanda, I've still been thinking about joining you guys. Even today, Southwest had another DING to Orlando. Running out of time I guess. If you procrastinate long enough, sometimes you save money.

Oh I would love it if you could come! I certainly understand that life sometimes will not let you take a break! I am always up for a trip, however, so if not this time maybe soon?

After doing more research and asking the wholesaler at least 20 questions, I went ahead and put the deposit down! We're in the DCL system so I can breathe now!!! I still need to purchase travel insurance - that's the one detail I haven't addressed yet.

Amanda, have a GREAT time at Food & Wine. I was there for the 1st week and wish I could go back already!!

RachelTori - WELCOME to the group!! As others have said, we're a little crazy and talkative but I assure you, we are a lot of fun. Glad to hear that you booked and are official.

My name is Maria and I will be cruising with my family - DH - Augie(45), DS - AJ(10), DS - Anthony(6). All ages are at cruise time. This is our first family cruise. We're from NY and we're very excited.

I'm the T-shirt organizer. I will be starting that endeavor probably right after the holidays.

We finally made the decision on what we are doing for Christmas this year. After spending the last three Christmas's on DCL we wanted to try something different.

We waited until 90 days out and started looking. It came down to: Cruise (Sharon's choice), a horse/dude ranch in GA, or several days at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando (ice).

We will be spending Christmas at Southern Cross Ranch in GA. This will be a trip that we will all remember, especially if it is cold. Sharon won't let us forget it.

It's the nicest place I could find so Sharon should be happy. The kids will have horses and Matt will have buffets.

What more can they ask for? Oh, two rooms with ours having the 4 poster bed, whirlpool, and fireplace.

Thanks. I still think it is crazy to use a TA that charges a cancellation fee, since DCL does not charge one up until final payment is due. Did you ask why the fee?

When we were discussing fees, Sandra assured me there were "ways around it". Basically, if we had to reschedule for whatever reason, there wouldn't be a cancellation fee as long as they were still getting our business. I feel pretty comfortable with them - according to NJ BBB, when there have been complaints against them, they've made every effort to resolve.

Laura, where is Grayson? I dont know if you have notived or not, but I am in Columbus. Right on the Ga/Al stateline about 1 1/2 hour south of ATL.

We're in Gwinnett County right near Lawrenceville and Snellville. Grayson is Gwinnett County's "best kept secret" - I guess that's really true! We lived in Marietta, GA for 17 years and I'd never heard of Grayson! (we actually have a Lawrenceville mailing address because the Grayson P.O. is so small they can't handle all the new subdivisions in the area )
