It turned out great - I'm starting to debate doing the lifestyle photos. it's rare to get John out from behind a camera...

Can we hire John to do our photos while on the cruise????

Got the girls' Halloween costumes ordered. Couldn't leave that for DH.

Elizabeth wants to be a movie star... she saw a feather boa in Michael's the other day, so that's her inspiration. (I've told her she can't just prance around the neighborhood in a feather boa... it might have been cute when she was 2, but not now that she's 11...) Trying to figure out what else to put her in to make her into a movie star.

Halloween is always tough for us... it always falls during the week of her big cheer competition, so its always an 'afterthought'.

Been a busy day here on the thread. Luckily, I've been catching up all day.

Trying to get out of Halloween again this year - it just isn't very big here - I think we have about 15-20 trick-or-treaters in a predominately school-aged neighborhood. Last year we went out to dinner and a movie, this year - the kids are paying attention and I doubt I'll be able to pull it off again.

And then, the kids came home with a flyer from school about a storybook dance at school. They can come dressed up as their favorite storybook characters.

Plus, Mike has the 5th grade annual wax museum - the kids do a report on an important person and then dress up as that person...I'm gonna have to put together costumes anyway...

Nope. Don't order seafood in ATL!!! The last few times we've gone to Copeland's it was downright HORRIBLE! And, I LOVED Copeland's in LA. Pappadeaux's isn't so bad. Y'all have those, right? What do you think of them?

The Pappas chain does a good consistant job. We enjoy Pappadeaux. If Joe's and Pappadeaux are my only choices - For the price and quality, I'd take Pappadeaux without a doubt...Not to rub it in - but, with so many local restaurants that do seafood and/or cajun - we tend to forget about Pappadeaux...

My favorite of the Pappas restaurants is Pappasitos their Mexican Restaurant - but, not sure if they've gone national with those...

How about long gloves, big sunglasses w/ rhinestones and lots of jewelry (I've got Mardi Gras beads I can mail ya)? I'm sure that's not the kids of movie star she's thinking of though.

I'm sure other people around here aren't as spoiled as me when it comes to seafood ... remember, I grew up in the Gulf Coast! No chain restaurants for me either ... Copeland's was the closest I got to a chain when I lived in LA.

There is a Pappasitos here but I've never been. There's only one that I know of & it's in Marietta ... a good 30-45 min. drive for us. Maybe we'll have to go one day (when the girls get older).

Having moved from New England to Florida, I've always been spoiled by good local seafood. (Though warm water seafood and cold water seafood are very different)... I cringe when I see Red Lobster commercials... its just not fresh! And I can't bring myself to order Maine Lobster here in FL... I'll never get it as fresh as it was back home... but FL has it's own great seafood.

Scuba is right... JB's Fish Camp is a great place here... most informal place you'll ever eat at (stray cats wandering on the deck looking for scraps), but terrific seafood!!! Hopefully we can get some of us together there the night before we sail!!

That's what I'm thinking... I've got lots of beads, too, from past Budweiser Mardi Gras promotions... just trying to figure out what she'll wear for clothes... she wanted the Jessica Rabbit costume from Disney Catalog... but I don't think its too appropriate for an 11 year old!!!

Depending on how catatonic he is after his finals...

I know he's willing to do the group photo...He's already brainstorming locations which would fit us all. It's like the shoemaker's children around here - I can barely get him to do our photos...He was supposed to shoot a 5k race today but, since his school was rescheduled, he had to back out. He's working a 10k next weekend...Maybe, with both kids in their respective teams' jerseys tomorrow, I might get a Christmas photo - I have to plan Christmas early...hmm - wonder if he'd be willing to throw the auto timer on and do a family photo - since we'll all be wearing our jerseys...now you've got me thinking...

Good night girls (and boys, wherever they may be)! I'm going relax in bed before going to sleep. Need to get up early for church.

We're planning on it! We found out that the State Board of Education is going to forgive the missed hurricane days and we won't have to make them up at the end of the year which is scheduled as May 25...

Good night John-boy...

I'm off to watch another E.R. episode...almost done with the 2nd season...

When you get into it, we'll have to PM each other with things like "can you believe so and so did whatnot??" :)

Back from dinner. Can't we talk about it here? Mickeymo is about to overtake me in the post count.

Guess it's you and me, hon, everyone else went to bed. Meet you in the living room to watch 24?

I swear its one more scheme for kids to suck money out of their parents wallets!!!

Yet you continue to go to Disney and on DCL cruises. They are the biggest wallet suckers out there. :)
