Angie, it's not that hard to get the wireless network set up. You need the modem and the wireless network card for your laptop. Lots of time to work on it!

We were talking about it last night. We have the modem, but I don't see DD letting me use her laptop whenever I want.

My laptop just crashed twice and after sending it back to be fixed $$$$ I looked at websites for new computers. When you look at the cost of a relatively inexpesive computer vs. the cost of repair or new add-ons such as a wireless card - then it might make sense. My new laptop came with so much stuff - including a wireless card, I was impressed. It turned out as cheap as repairing or retrofitting my old lap-top. Something to think about. :wave2:

TiggerInNY ahem Maria.......having work done on your house is no excuse to slack off on your DIS board responsibilty...

I'm NOT slacking off!!! I'm just watching and laughing my butt off. You guys are sooo funny. YOU are funny!!! Can't wait to meet you. What is the quota for the day...4 posts? I will try my best, but ya know what happens when I get on these boards? I look up and 2 hours have past...not good for the woman here. I've had to iron 3 loads of laundry because I left them in their respective baskets too long. I hate that and I keep doing it. Oh, and white clothes...hate 'em. All those little white socks!!!:earseek: So, if you don't see me posting, don't get mad at me. Just trying to keep up with the wood chips, dust, and laundry in this house. Everytime another contractor comes in, I have to vacuum and/or dust again. Be careful what you wish for.

Gotta go...DH is home and I don't want him to think I'm slackin' off. See ya all tonight.

TTFN,
Maria

See we serve a pulic purpose - Laughter being the best medicine. I wonder if we can get a script written for Disboards? :cool1:

I will do anything other than iron. My favourite trick is to stuff all that laundy back into the dryer with a damp towel or two andd run it on fluff or low for a it and presto - no more wrinkles. My second is to hang them up over the tub and take a long hot bath with book, scented candle and bottle of wine or is that my first choice?

You have much more patience than I for home improvements - I would be  by now...

See Ya Later..... :wave2:

Problem is that's the laptop belongs to work. We have 2 desktops at home. Occassionally, when the girls are sick, I'll work from home but that's not often any more ... knock on wood!

CRUISE QUESTION - CRUISE QUESTION

My November cruise is looking for a place to meet on the ship. Now, I could peruse the cruise board or I could ask my good friends here.

Suggestions of where to hold a mini-meet - about 12 posters and kids.

Thanks... :earsgirl:

puBlic purpose....new laptop, smaller keyboard...... :flower:

After using a Microsoft "enhanced" keyboard. The one that has the angle to it. I find if very hard to type on a regular keyboard, and especially hard to type on those teeny laptop keyboards.

It depends.... Inside the best place is probably the Promenade lounge - open and easily accessible. Outside - we have always met on Deck 10 overlooking where the sailaway occurs. We normally get together around 3pm - gives you plenty of time to say hello - go back for the drill - and then back to the Sailaway.......

I agree with Virgil. 3pm on deck 10 mid-ship has always worked well for us. Word to the wise - don't do the actual sailaway as your first meet. We did that once and couldn't hear each other at all. Much better to meet first and then party together later!

Woo Hoo - a top shared with Virgil!

We had about 12 and we met at Scoops around 3:00 - kids were happy - ice cream and cookies while the adults were talking.

OK.........I worked ALL day on my online class, and to reward myself, I'll check in here for a few minutes before I start dinner.

Remind me next time that it is easier to physically take the class, rather than take the online version!

Tonights dinner at the neighbors was Scallops in a cheese sauce and homemade apple pie. It was right up there with the Crab on Sunday. Finished tonight's meal with a little left over Banfi. There is none left over now!

Tomorrow they are cooking stuffed pork chops. I am starting to think that having the family out of town is a good thing!
