Water sits in the jets; so if it's a while before the next time you use it, black crud (aka mildew) comes pouring out of the jets.

Angie...this happened to me the first time we stayed at OKW. It was late at night (I believe e-ticket night) and we were at the MK. Nick fell asleep, so I decided to schlep him home (no stroller) and Mike, KT and Mike's teenage sister stayed at the MK. By the time I got back to OKW via the bus system, I was EXHAUSTED...

So I thought I'd relax in a jacuzzi bath....

Filled her up....

Turned her on....

Ahhhh....

Then about 3 minutes later I see this brown goo come out of the jets and I shot out of there like a bat out of ...well, you know where.

DISGUSTING.

Then I had to take a shower and scrub (not nearly as relaxing as a bath!)
So now the only jacuzzi's I like are chlorinated hot tubs!

(another funny jacuzzi story about Nick and his butt getting too close to the intake, but that's for another time....)

Thanks, what was the one you brought to the Courtyard Villas?

That was tasty!!

That was the Sandman Ruby port. That is my standard port for week nights.

Or are you talking about the marguritas? That was your special recipe that Matt made for us.

I did enjoy the 20 year old tawny last night. It's in the decanter so I will be able to enjoy it for the next few months....yea, right.

Ok, off to make french toast for Mike before he goes to work. Who knows when the rest of the clan will be up. KT brought her friend home from VBS last night and you know two girls at a sleepover!

It's Saturday....laundry for me today....

And going through our 18,000 pictures to find more to scrapbook at the church crop tomorrow. :)

If I think about it, I'll have a Mike's hard lemonade tonight. Most nights I go to bed and think "man, I should have had a Mike's....too late now." :)

I'd be WAAAAAY too confused having to keep all of the reds and whites and ports and sparkling and Banfi and dessert and all the other wines straight!!

thanks...my knee hurts.....still no bruising but if I touch the area it hurts...........

Milk it for all it's worth - I think a day lounging, reading, no laundry, cleaning, or cooking is in order...hmmm might need a week just to be safe...

Hi All,

Last night we went to the Hooptie Dee Doo. It was a lot of fun. We went to FW about two hours early and walked a few miles and got a healthy dose of West Nile until we purchased a vat of DEET. It does a body good. ;)

The show was a lot of fun. We ate too much and my head is about two sizes larger than it was last night. It had been 20 years since my last visit.

baduump bump!

Thanks for sharing your evening with us!!!

Geez - that little cone did it again!!! He forgot to log out last night- Here I am posting away under his name- I should know by now not to DIS without my coffee...

I think we're going to the Space Center this a.m. - maybe I should spin Scoopie around in the anti-gravity chair a few times for playing tricks on me before I've had my coffee.

:upsidedow

Just realized - we missed Friday kareoke... :scared1:

hmmm - have to think about what to make up for it...

I work in a fitness center run by the local hosital's PT department - I teach community land and aquatic fitness classes. I spent yesterday afternoon for about 5 hours doing on-line learning for the hospital accreditation...Now, why do I have to know disaster triage-It would have to be a disaster of international proportions before I would be asked to code a victim in a disaster. Isolation procedures? Some of the topics, I could see - but, it was all targeted to the medical professionals. The questions were tough...Especially a question:it's a patient who presents with XYZ symtoms - is it ABor C? and do you practice contact isolation or droplet isolation or both...HELLOOOO - I work in a fitness center - which happens to be run by the hospital..... I don't even know what A, B, or C conditions are!!!! - couldn't even pronounce them if I tried....I'm not a medical professional and I don't play one on TV!!!

then the questions on measles and the order of which staff who is on duty should treat a patient who presents with measles...gave dates of staff immunizations, or diagnosis or military history...now, I know enough to know that's all relevant but, no clue on order of importance....HELLLOOOO, I'M IN FITNESS!!!

oh well. The joys of working for a hospital.

Can you tell the coffee's kicking in??? :hyper:

Just dandy!!! The in-laws are here so, they are entertaining the kids and I'm having a relaxing morning DISing with my coffee...

What's up with you, Shari - we haven't heard from you in awhile!!!

Wow... you guys were busy doing a whole lot of nothing last night!

Praying the rain will clear out today- it looks like it should. Off to Christopher's football game to watch him sprint through the mud and come home looking like a piglet...

It's the Port I was referring too.

I looked at the 20 year old offerings last night. But, I thought I'd start out with something a little less for the first time. The local place carried Sandemans, Cockburns, Taylor, Grahams and a few others I didn't recognize. They even had one from New Mexico in a "collectors" bottle, which I thought was odd.
