Ah, yes. I must go. And I just checked the post count and I've blown by Mr. Scuba (unintentionally) but now I can go to sleep happy! Of course, he'll be up at some ungodly hour and will probably see to it that he passes my count. He's like that!

I'm glad you went to sleep happy thinking about me.

I have that same affect on Sharon.

And congratulations on passing me by. I'll probably catch back up when the kids are back in school!

Do you want another GPS? I thought taking mine all of the time worked fine for you. If you do, please tell me soon and make your Fathers Day Gift much easier to find. Otherwise, please give Lisa hints (ie specific model #'s, store it is located at, etc) so she can make sure her "Daddy" is happy for Fathers Day. On the other hand, let's hope Matt remembers it is Fathers Day and calls home.

You definitely ought to join us for dives in both Cozumel and Costa Maya!! Right now we have four divers, and if you both join us it would enough for a small 6-pack boat, which is used in those areas. We could call it the DIS Divers Charter boat!!

Your certification does not expire, but you should DEFINITELY do a Skills Update class. This will include a mini class, watch a video and then a pool session to go over all the basic skills you covered in your OW class. I actually did three of these before our vacation.

Alicia and I saw this very thing when we did dives during a Celebrity cruise a couple of years ago. We had a table mate that hadn't dove in lots of years and decided that he would dive in Roatan. Long story, short; He never got under because he had a cheapie mask and a beard and the mask leaked badly. If he had done an update, this would have become evident and thus correctable.

BTW, what agency are you guys certified with? You don't have your location on your profile, where do you guys live?

DH knows about the mask problem and wonders just how much to shave off the mustache to get a good seal. Scuba put us right on where to select new dive gear - not sure if we just want to snorkle or dive....still wondering. And we are interested in pyramids during the cruise, so lots of THUNKIN' needed to figure this out. I had thought the certifications expired, did not really want to do those dive tables all over again. (blah). Anyway, I will look into the Skills Update course - any recommendations?

There are so many local dive shops (LDS) in you area that it is hard to make a recommendation. The shop I suggested for the equipment might be able to do it. That way you might have a chance to cut a deal on the equipment.
