Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,
I don't care if I ever get back
for it's root, root, root for the Insert favorite team here[
If they don't win it's a shame...
for it's one, two, three strikes you're out
at the ole' ball game!

LET's PLAY BALL!!!

Let's Go CUBS!!!

I Believe!!!

for it's root, root, root for my RED SOX
If they don't win it's a shame...

at the ole' ball game!

LET's PLAY BALL!!!

Well... I can always hope... they got off to a bad start Sunday night- let's pray that it doesn't take another 86 years for them to win another one!!!

(Tho' I do want to see the Cubs win one in my dad's lifetime... he's such a fan!)

I got an email this morning from the Passporter folks with the announcement of the 3rd edition of the cruise guide. This is a quote from the email.

"And for the folks who are cruising in more familiar Caribbean waters, we've totally updated the rest of the guidebook, with expanded coverage of shipboard dining and up-to-the-minute coverage of such new items as the Pirates of the Caribbean Evening and the new stage show they'll be unveiling on the Magic in May. Coverage of "special itineraries" doesn't stop with 2005, either. We've got full descriptions and port coverage of all the 2006 itineraries, too!"

Does anyone think it's worth ordering this edition or just wait until next year? I already have the 2nd edition.

I'm assuming you mean the 1/2 size 375 ml bottles? They have those by me at the Andersons. Problem is, for only a few dollars more you can get the full size bottle.

Thanks for letting me know there is not much of a price point difference. I'll just buy the full size.

I got that e-mail, too. The way I see it, the third edition is basically to include the WEST COAST cruises. I think I'll stay with the second edition and wait for the 2006/fourth edition, if it comes out in time for our cruise.

I have an extra deluxe second edition if someone is interested.....PM me.

I have faith in you that you won't let it go to waste! :drinking1

(now where's that wine-gulping smilie when you need him?)

Sadly the Illini did not win last night. That means I'm going to have a lot of disappointed employees at work. Still they had a great season.

Bummer! Did the masses take longer martini lunches to help "ease" the pain?

I was kind of interested in watching the game, but had to go to a school meeting for students going into high school and didn't see it. Sounded like a good game.

Just took the plunge and decided to book a week at Vero Beach. DD and DW wanted to go to the beach - and we wanted to start using our DVC points..... We'll be there 7/30-8/6.....

Hopefully we can get together we some of the "locals" and those visiting for some pre-cruise meets....

So Virgil, are you going to drive over to WDW at all? Or just veg at the beach? Those are our second set of dates for the summer.

Root, root, root for the D-Backs!!!

Doesn't look like they have gotten off to a very good start.......
Sorry to the Illinois fans! Was really hoping they'd win it.

Poor me has had to work lately....:charac2: :charac2: (I know...you all feel SOOOO sorry for me!) will try to get back on track a.s.a.p.!!

Virgil - you are going to love Vero Beach. We had tried to get in there for early May for a quick getaway but they are booked. We definately want to go back and visit for more than one night.

Had a few long faces but not too bad. Everyone was just kind of dragging all day.

I had thought about trying to rent some points to check out VB this year, but will probably end up going back to Sanibel instead, as it's probably too late to try to rent points for July (which is the only time we can go) for this year. Hmm... a drive down for the day wouldn't be out of the question for a mini-meet though!!!

Uck did you all see this? http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=8196546#post8196546 passports req eff 12/31/05 yuck.....guess I had better get on that. I am sure most of you probably already have them but I do not.
Getting and having a passport for the adults is not a big deal. Kids, are another issue. Since they (obviously) grow and have to be renewed. Both parents have to be there to sign permission, etc.

A Minor's passport is valid for 5 years and must be renewed with the parent or applicant appearing in person. An Adult's passport (issued from age 16 and older) is valid for 10 years and may be renewed by mail.

But it's only every 5 yrs for kids, no? And 10 for adults?

***edited to add "yeah, DUH!! You said that in your post, but I didn't read the 2nd half!!!****

We got ours for our first cruise in '03 so we'll be good to go. :)

Actually, this is interesting. I went to apply for ALL of our passports by myself. Mike had the flu and could hardly get off the couch. The kids stayed home with him. The only trouble I had was in getting MIKE'S passport. He needed to get off the couch and go in personally. Otherwise had no problems with the kids. Maybe that's cuz I live in po-dunk London! But we do have Cappys!!!! ;)

4200... gotta celebrate the round numbers - even the little ones!

My kids don't have passports yet either... guess I'll add that to my list of things to do... sometime after I tell them about the trip...
