Thank you, Amanda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said s**t last night in front of nephew and niece ( I stepped on the black dog on the floor of a dark room and almost went out the window ). That is all they said today

Phew I was worried I would offend someone but I thought it was such a cute tale! LOL

Wow I just realized how close we were to 4000 posts! This is moving along swimingly!! Think we can get 4000 tonight?

Calgon, take me away... somehow, I forgot that I told my niece that she and her friend could come to FL for a visit after her college graduation... she has just e-mailed me to inform me that she has booked the same flight to FL as my return flight from her graduation, and they are staying for 9 days... and she's too young to rent a car!! (We'll lend her ours for a few days, but not for 9!!!)

She can't afford WDW, so that's out... I'll treat her to Sea World, I guess they'll hang out at the beach, and mostly in my pool. She is adopted, and her birth-mother lives about an hour from here, so she is spending 2 days with her, too.

Guess I'll be finding some creative cheap things to do for them while they are here!!!

Send them over to Venice Beach, and tell them they can't come back until the find a Megaladon tooth.....(prehistoric shark)

That will keep them busy for awhile!

Pam, is the Cesar Chavez holiday unique to Texas? And is Margarita drinking the traditional way to celebrate it? If so, I'm in!

I guess because of the large Hispanic population here on the border, they decided to recognize it. The only ones that I know that got the day off were those of us who work for the community college and also the people at the university.

My friends that I met for lunch don't work outside the home, so we rarely get together for lunch. Whenever we do, we always have margaritas. We went to a great Mexican food place for lunch and they had the best margaritas.

So today is his birthday, and his holiday in Texas. I do know who he is, sort of surprised there's nothing going on here in NM. We would be happy to have a margarita in his honor, though. See what you started Pam?

The lunch was great and the margaritas were even better Actually, they were some of the best ones I have ever had. We had a 3 hour lunch -- spent a lot of that time just catching up. All of us have kids in the fifth grade.

We had a group like that last year. They were going so cheap they even rode the bus down from Michigan, 24 hour trip.

There were two girls and all they wanted to do was lay by our pool 7 days, just laying by the pool. Boring for me, but they had a great time. They still talk about it.

You might get lucky and this could happen to you.

I've been trying how to fit in a Venice Beach dive in May. Any ideas? It's not that far from WDW.

I'll be the odd man out, but I'm glad its not March 2006 yet. Too much planned in the coming year to wish it away. Plus at my age you cherish each year you have! I know 2006 will get here pretty quick!

We are all packed and just waiting for the sun to rise (actually 5:00 am) to head to MCO and than off to Baltimore where we get to wear our winter coats.

Looks like you are in for 'beautiful' (not!) weather there this weekend... I won't tell you that its only 8:40, and already 72 at home... looks like you won't quite need the WINTER coats, but definitely the trenchcoat and umbrella!!! (Hmm... sounds like Inspector Clousseau...)

Snuck in and Pirated a top and didnt even realize it. Dang I need to do that more often.
Beautiful weather here too, sent Dom off to daycare in shorts and t-shirt. Even though there is a 90% chance of rain all day and tonight. It is sunshiney and hot right now.

I am like Mary, I am not wishing this year to pass too quickly. Way too much still to do to wish it away. We have our 3 night cruise next month and then the Eastbound Repo cruise in August. Nahhh.. we will let time just go as slow as it can.

Happy Friday to all! Although it's a dreary one for us!!! Our ground is sooo soggy that we won't be playing outside for a while. Someone please send us some sunshine. Guess I shouldn't complain. It's not cold anymore. I can deal with the rain as long as it's not cold. Besides, Amanda will give me a hard time again about living in GA & complaining about rain.

Today is DH's last day at his "old" job. He starts the new one on Mon. - no more commuting! YEAH!!!
