Well, it involves food, so I might be interested. But there's also lots of yelling, right? Is there any dancing?

A friend of mine had a visitor here this week from Michigan... she was here interviewing for an analyst position with Disney... she found out today that she got the job... she's taking about a 50% cut in pay to pursue her dream of working for the Mouse... I sure hope she's not DIS-enchanted once she gets into it...

(though I'd take a 50% pay cut to move out of Michigan, too!... and I'm not even an OSU fan!)

Morning All

Happy Independence Day

I've been working to prepare a 4th of July "picnic feast" for my British Mother - strange that...

We are having deviled eggs, mac and cheese, pasta salad, baked beans, sausage "on a" not "in a " bun, marinated salad, and peached and ice cream. Finally finished preparations, and this is just for 2 people, Sam is workin.

Off soon, to drag the feast to her house....

Oh, and of course, beer!!!

Well, I'm down to one reality show for the summer, So You Think You Can Dance. But I have picked up an addiction to HBO shows. Big Love, John from Cincinnati (has anyone else watched this, and can you tell me what it is about?), Entourage. Alicia watches Flight of the Conchords which is a little strange for me.

I think we watched half an episode of the Pirate Master thing, and have managed to completely ignore America's Got Talent, Bingo, and the 5th grader thing. Now I see there are going to be TWO shows about remembering lyrics to songs. More to ignore.

We've been watching more movies though, and reading. Ahh, summer!

Alicia started a job today, courtesy clerk at the grocery store. Good day to start, no? I'm trying to hold myself back from going to check up on her. We will be needing some groceries by this afternoon, though.

Nice photo Kevin! John's not home, yet - he was out early this a.m. taking photos at a 5k race, in the rain. Now, he's being a great dad and is downtown standing in line to attempt to get free reserved pavilion seats for the Houston Symphony Concert and Fireworks tonight. It might be a bit soggy tonight, though - we'll see if we end up going... Although, the constant rain might keep the crowds down at the park...
