POOR HEDGIE! Yep, I really feel sorry for you, getting to go diving. Does your mask fit okay?

gaRry...you're too funny. You're not losing a daughter, you're gaining a DISCOUNT! :rotfl:

I was just thinking of Scoopie, too. There's a Culver's near my brother's house in Bellevue NE. I never knew they had one. :confused3

Angie...I'd have a hard time turning that down myself. You could get homework ahead of time. We used to do that when the kids were younger.
Do it now, because it becomes impossible to do when they're older.
::yes::

Yes, I have to agree with that! We took Alicia for our first WDW trip in early May, she was in 2nd grade. The teacher saved every single worksheet for to do when we got back. There were a couple of bad homework nights (and I confess to doing some of the busywork for her), but it wasn't that bad.

It's pretty common at her high school for kids to miss school for performances, so the teachers are prepared to deal with it. Now we need a good story about how she got a dance gig at Food & Wine!

Garry, was this trip on the discount? I see many more trips in your future!

Hi Folks, all packed...ready to go...even with Hedgie kicking and screaming.

We'll have fun and think of ya'll...

Until we surface.....

A funny thing happened in the last 24 hours.

Mike and Joan came home from their 3 week cruise. This was a check out cruise to see if they could handle being away for 4 months in January for their world cruise. They decided they had to much going on and did not want to do the world cruise. I'm a little surprised, but think they may do it in a few years.

That means they don't have any cruises booked. You all know that is a bad thing. On Thursday night they mentioned the idea of doing a cruise over Thanksgiving. I mentioned it to Sharon Friday morning. She and Mike had it booked by the time we got home from the gym Friday night.

We are doing Holland America Zuiderdam 11/17 for 7 days Eastern leaving out of Ft Lauderdale.

There are still spots available on the ship.

Oh sure....you won't go anywhere with ME.......but you'll go with THEM.....

Stacey, sounds like you just got invited! Go book it, then tell Jay, but Jim INVITED us!

Now tell me again why I thought it would be a good idea to have Maggie's birthday party at the house today??? :lmao:

At least we have the entire house clean, including Maggie's bedroom - guess that's worth it.

Some girls have tea parties, make-over parties or dance parties - my daughter, an engineering party  Dad's in charge :woohoo:

Mom Lesson Number One: NEVER clean BEFORE a party. You're just going to have to do it again AFTER the party.

Sounds like more fun than a makeover or tea party to me!

My days of telling Jay anything are long gone. Now I'm all about asking. Or maybe even begging.

oh trust me - we had to clean - Maggie now has a floor in her bedroom and it's about the only time I can get the kids to help willingly. I'm smart enough not to do the kitchen floor..:thumbsup2

Just looked at my new countdown timer. Twelve days. Holy cow. Why doesn't it seem like we're going anywhere? Oh...maybe because I'm not discussing every detail with 75 of my closest friends!!

Can you believe it's been a whole year since our cruise?

And today the Magic is in Spain. Unbelieveable. I bet those cruisers are sure glad to see dry land!!

They'll all be disembarking like a bunch of drunken sailors!

I KNOW, I KNOW!!!

Oh, never mind.....you said not me......

So, are they building bridges out of toothpicks???? :rotfl2:
