Sounds like I need to make a trip to DTD???? Haven't been over that way in awhile!

OR - Maybe we could have a mini-meet in our lovely town of the Scubas and the Pugs (it's not like we live more than a mile or two a part). Once your life settles down (or school ends), let me know.:rotfl: :cool1:

Hey Kikipug!

Wouldn't that be terrific???!!! Please do.
We'll be in Sea World on Monday...at least that is the day I have down on my calendar.
We've never been there. What should we do first?

Susan

Plan to get there when the park opens... there's lots to do, and if you want to see it all, it really does take the whole day. Before the rope drop, they play the Star-Spangled Banner to start the day.

If you are roller coaster fans, DEFINITELY hit Kraaken first... that is my favorite coaster anywhere... I love the theming on Journey to Atlantis (same type of ride as Splash Mountain), but having been there so many times, I tend to skip it if I really don't feel like getting wet.

The shows really ARE all great... I've never been to the cat & dog show... just can't seem to justify watching housepets... but that's just me. Oddysea is GREAT for the heat of the afternoon... cool and air conditioned- really neat circque du soliel type show... even my son LOVED it... and I thought he'd be bored. Obviously, Shamu & Blue Horizons are must-see, too... don't miss them!

In terms of where to eat, our favorite is Voyagers Wood Fire Grill in the Waterfront area. Great brick oven pizza, fresh fruit, salads and other good stuff. Not burgers and dogs. (You'll find very few burgers and dogs at Sea World... even if you're looking for them!).

Be sure to check out the dolphin nursery, too... its off the beaten path, and a lot of people don't know it exists... its at the back of the waterfront area... its on the map, but most people miss it. Not sure if there are any new ones there right now, but there might be by the time you go. I haven't been since early February, and there weren't any new ones then.

I passed you on Airport Road yesterday, and saw Jim running a few days ago... doesn't that count as a mini-meet?:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hmm... slow down... I wish! But your right... we do need to get together!

Hey... have you tried the new Italian restaurant that the guy who owns the Garlic (can't think of his name) opened... its on Ridgewood in South Daytona... called Fresh... we ate there Saturday night... very good!

HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN ALICIA!

I couldn't have said it better myself... well... on-time might of helped... happy BELATED b-day at this point!!!!

EXACTLY! I knew I liked your style. I am now to the point where dresses occur on Sunday, but that is about it.:lmao:

dresses, sunday? :confused3 ;) a nice pants suit works just fine for me... :rotfl2: Now, if I could just figure out how to rid my closet of all those 3 1/2 inch heels that someone buys for me.:rolleyes1

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Alicia enjoyed them. Sugar cookies are her favorite, how did you know?

Dresses, hmmm. I like to find them to sell, but I can't remember the last time I wore one. Well, obviously it was the last cruise. duh.

I was just thinking today that it is a boomer society. Crocs are no doubt the best selling shoes!

Our church has a few options for Sunday services. One is nicer---nice pants/dresses/etc. One is jeans/nice shirt or sweater. Guess which one I like better????

Loved the Star Spangled Banner played at rope drop. And the tribute to the Military before the Shamu show....Susan, if dh can go with you that day, they'll have him stand and be recognized. So cool.

We did the cat and dog show. Kids liked it. It was fun but not something I'd HAVE to see again. There was a flat coated retriever in the show (what Maggie was) and it was amazing to see such a WELL BEHAVED dog. ;) We all just shook our heads and how evil Maggie was. ;)

That day he'll be meeting us there at lunch time. That is what we love about Anheuser Busch---they are so incredibly patriotic!
Adam (Tracker) says that theirs will be the first beer he tries!???? Let's just hope it won't be too soon....

Thank you for all of the "hints" kikipug!
Susan

No, we haven't tried it yet. However we have had a few people recommend it. The people I work for ate their last weekend and think it is "Jim worthy". They know how well he cooks and they think he would enjoy it. Maybe we will get there when our lives slow down.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If you were your husband, I'd have to give you grief about this and ask you how they ate their weekend? :lmao: :lmao: But since you are Mrs. Scuba I won't. :lmao: :lmao:

Why?

The one I did in CA we did not even change out of our wetsuits to eat. Just sat at the table in our diving best.

Of course the Nekton is much more upscale.

See Stacey's post......She gets it......

(but in deference to the other ladies, I will substitute "cover-up"!)

Laura looks like you are the only one interested in meeting up :-) We will hammer out the details! See you soon!

I'll be in St. Louis then Charlotte while you are here enjoying FL... or I'd head over to DTD then, too... hope you don't think we're ignoring you... we'll tell you if we are...:rotfl:... or we'll go back to white type...

See... I KNEW you'd look here!!!!!!! We all REALLY need another cruise!
