Well, I decided to move our 12/07 ressie to 05/25/08 on the Wonder ... 4-night with 2 stops at Castaway Cay. It's probably still more than I'd like to pay considering our 7-night was $1000 more. But, I managed to get a SPH ... oh but that makes it even worse ... we were in a cat. 8 last time. Oh well. We can always decide not to go & move the ressie out to 2009.

Just out of curiosity, I plugged our info in for those dates (I know we can't go at that time... school won't be out yet, and its a few weeks before our family cruise)... with the same stateroom, its only $300 less than our '06 7-day... EEK!!!

Well... part of that is because by then Elizabeth will be 14... but still... its just getting more and more pricy every year!!!! Time to go down to the basement and print some more hundreds. (Oh wait... I don't have a basement...)

SuperBowl Programming Update...

Watch for some fun Super Bowl commercials on Sunday from you-know-who.

I'll be leaving in the AM for Miami... so, no more DIS'ing for me for a few days. Working the events leading up to the big game... no game ticket (yet), but I think by Sunday night, I'll be passed out dead asleep in my overpriced hotel room.

I'm not even sure I REMEMBER the whole story now! What a mess.

Anyway...I'm too tired to go through it all right now. To Be Continued.......

Stacey, I want to hear your story.

I'm really upset right now. Right before I left work at 4:00, I logged on with my id at disneycruise.com to check on my ressie. It was the old 7-night "dummy" ressie & not my SPH for 5/25/08 4-night. I then checked the staterooms available & sure enough, 5020 was back in the inventory. I should have just booked it online!!! Instead, I opted to leave work & got on the cell. After 30 minutes on hold, I finally got through. Of course, by that time 5020 & all other SPHs were gone. I asked to talk to a supervisor. He said that he has a hold on a cat. 10 & will try to get to the bottom of it for me. I told him that I didn't think a cat. 10 inside stateroom is comprable to a cat. 10 SPH. While he was looking to see what ressies I had, he did say that there was a hold for a Mexican Riviera 7-night (6/15/08). That ressie was made on 1/27. I guess IC made one for me since I had requested a 7-night in June.

So ... there's not a good end to my story. The supervisor said he would call me back tomorrow. We'll see!

Angie,

I am just sick for you. This has been the most messed up thing I've ever seen. Stacey and I (and countless other DISers) have been going crazy the past week with all the miscommunication from IC. (I hope Stacey is having a nice rest right now! :cloud9:)

DCL needs to make things right for you, Angie. pixiedust:

Looking forward to the Superbowl commercials - the best ones are put on by you-know-who (Kiki????)

And to some Chili

And some friends...

oh, the game, it's extras.

back on page two again, Angie sending PD your way to help with your ressies.

Karen..good luck with the superbowl thing

Hello everyone else.

Still looking for a 12 passenger van to rent to drive down for our member cruise.

We went to dinner with Megan...did I say that earlier? Anyway...now I'm going to bed. Will tell the story tomorrow..........

Good morning everyone! Laura and Stacey - sounds like you guys had a crazy couple of days booking. Here's hoping today is a better day. Stacey can't wait to hear your story. Glad you have a happy ending and got the cruises you wanted.

I'm glad I was not booking a cruise yesterday!

You and me both Jim. It seemed crazy! I've been through some intense booking days with the DVC Cruises but that is only one sailing. Yesterday had a lot more people trying to get on a lot more sailings and it really seemed to go a little crazy.

Good morning all! So glad this booking fiasco is over for us!

IC really messed things up, big time. Some of their most loyal concierge customers, who had long-ago faxed in their requests, were basically ignored. :confused3

Those fax machines will be very busy -- with complaints. (so sad) :sad2:

As far as yesterday ... I think they should have released the Mex. Riviera & repo cruises on one day & all others on another day. It was crazy & I was just trying to get a SPH on the Wonder.

I'll be waiting for my call from DCL today but won't hold my breath. I think Bruce is a little interested in still doing a 4-night. Last night he asked how much the cheapest stateroom would be. We may go for the broom closet after all.

Ang

I for one can't believe the prices Disney is quoting. We thought about possibly doing a 4 day. No way with those prices. We can cruise another line (RCCL) for a whole lot better price.

SOrry for all of you that had trouble booking yesterday.

I jumped on-line at 9:30am - got a quote from DCL on a broom closet cat 11 - even though I had some idea of price before, it was an eye opener to see the actual price - over double our double scoop price. As I was mentioning the pricing and booking mess to John, the kids suddenly started paying attention.

Curious of their answers, I asked if they would rather, hypothetically, go one week on DCL or cruise twice with RCCL out of Galveston. (I had a pretty good idea they would say cruise more often - they answer similarly over Cubs/Astros tickets - (better seats = 1 game; nosebleed seats = more games) but, wasn't sure how strong the lure of DCL. They decided they would rather cruise twice and even asked about the possibility of doing a back to back....:lmao:

Maggie asked if we could try DCL again in 2009 - John said "Well, maybe you'll be too old for Disney" - you're never too old for Disney!!!

I didn't mention our plans for heading out to DL in June of 2008 as an alternative - we'll see how long I can keep it a secret.

Angie, in both our cruises with DCL we've cruised cat 11 - we're of the "just get me on the boat" mentality. Our kids are older then yours; but, we've made the small cabin logistics work. Usually, the kids would shower, and then we'd check them into the clubs. then we'd come back to get ready for dinner ourselves. Just don't forget the over the door shoe holders and closet organizers - and a night light.
