Good Morning! Okay...afternoon for most of you.

I haven't done a darn thing so far today. I think I used up my cleaning allowance last weekend with the closets and drawers!

Today it is Matt and I off to WDW.

Yesterday it was Sharon and I. She had a conference near SeaWorld so I went to the Funai Golf Classic. It was hot. Thankfully I had tickets for the hospitality tent.

Today Matt has TKD tournament at Wide World of Sports. Before his event we will head back over to the golf classic so he can enjoy the hospitality tent. It is an open buffet and he seems to like those. :rotfl:

I had actually planned on doing some work today....then I read this, and it totally made me not want to be working. Not fair, I tell ya.

Well, I came home this afternoon and crashed! If I have to do this blood-draw thing every few months, the doctor and I are going to have to talk about his lab tech.
She tried one arm...no luck. Tried the 2nd arm....and kept moving the needle around and around and around......finally gave up on that and got it in my hand. I look like a junkie! And it's sore!:(

Stacey,

I can so relate to this! They now use a different needle on me (it's thinner than the normal one) and I no longer come home with multiple stab wounds!

She was already using the little baby butterfly thing. It's just weird, sometimes they get it right away, and sometimes not. Not once have they ever listened to me, though, when I've told them to just use my hand from the start. Arrgggh.
What worries me today is that the area on my hand where she finally did get the blood is all puffy. Like there's an air pocket in there or something. ??

Ouch! Sorry to hear that.

Busy weekend around our house - we're getting buzzed, bombed, and looped... ;)

it's the airshow held at the airfield behind our house... :lmao: o.k. pretty lame attempt at a joke - it's the annual Wings Over Houston Airshow. We're on the backside of the runway...In the early years of our subdivision, we had a great seat watching out our back windows. Now that the trees are grown up we have to cross the street. Around 1:00 it is the annual reinactment of Tora, Tora, Tora and the bombing of Pearl Harbor-always a crowd favorite and very loud and explosive. The Canadian Snow Birds are the featured act this year - usually rotating between the Blue Angels, Thunderbirds and the Snowbirds. If the weather holds up, they're due to take off any minute.

No naps around here for all the airplane noise - we just got back from Maggie's nutcracker rehearsal and then her soccer game. The girls were run ragged. They normally play 8v8 but, their team only had 5 girls show up. The score ended up being 5-0 - they held the girls to only one score in the 2nd half and outshot the other team on goal in the 2nd half. Not bad for being out numbered.

Tonight another performance. Thought I might get some cleaning done this afternoon but, I think the couch and a movie sound much better.

After 1 1/2 hour with Earthlink tech guys, I finally have internet again. What a runaround that was! But it's good to be back in the WWW.

We are going to be in CA on Monday, March 26. The rest of that week is kind of open, and it's Spring Break. Kevin wants to make a stop at a Utah National park on the way home, that's it. What date in March are you thinking, Pam?

Kevin....good to see you posting. Gets pretty quiet around here without you and Jim stirring things up!

Pam....I've been tossing around the idea of Disneyland in March again this year. It was really fun being there on my birthday last year, and the weather was perfect! Maybe a little chilly at night, but not too bad.

Come on and join us. Our spring break is early this year. It starts like on March 10 (I think that is the first Saturday we are out.) I am looking at probably go to DL midweek. I am afaid to try and go on the first weekend, because there is a longshot(fingers crossed) that is Ashley makes the State Swim Meet, it will be that weekend inDallas. If so, we would go to the swimmeet, swing back through El Paso and then head to California. We know for sure now that Charley will have that week off, and I get it off anyway because the College is closed.

When do you all have off for Spring Break??

Bummer Diana -- too bad the dates don't coincide.

We told the kids this morning when we went out to breakfast together after Ashley's swim practice. My son was so excited because we are keeping our tradition going. I believe we have had a vacation at either DL or WDW since he was 6. Of course we took him earlier when he was 18 months and again for his third birthday. I wasn't sure how they would react, but they seemed excited about it.

We have also thought about going to Colorado or Wyoming in the summer, but I have absolutely no idea how to plan that kind of vacation. I only know the Disney kind of vacations. Oh and by the way, Adventures by Disney is out of my price range (hahahaha)

Greetings all. Had a great day today. Headed over to Epcot to check out the new Nemo ride. Very cool!

Mark did a few of the booths at food and wine then we headed back to the room to chill.

Went over at 2:30 to get ready for the DIS meet. Had a great turn out and a fun time. Dinner at Cape May Cafe for 21 and then we all went our separate ways this evening. Got some photos up on the almost live thread.

Tomorrow morning we board the DIS bus to the port.

I checked the "Live" thread, Mary...looks like you're having a great time already!!

Look, a BOARDWALK!

And ours is later this year, for the first time ever. Darn it. Our kids don't get out of school until the 22nd...which is a Thursday, but then they have the whole entire following week off. Geesh, we'd have time to go to WDW! But we won't.

It looks like our time schedule coincides with yours, though, Diana! So...what do you think???

Good morning all!

Jim, if you and Matt are around at 3pm we're hosting a DIS meet over in the Solarium at the Beach Club Villas. No open buffet but lots of great DISers! You are more than welcome to stop by and we'd love to see you. Unfortunately we have plans for the rest of our stay, but since you are in the area thought I would let you know.

Now you tell us. We were sitting at Wide World of Sports at 3 PM. I didn't check DIS all day so never got the message. My bad!:guilty:

But then again....that would have meant not watching the greatest come back in A-1 football by Michigan State!!! :cool1:

Sorry Jim - should have told you earlier! My bad. We had a great group and a lot of fun. Least you got to watch a great game.

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Sunday!

Today's the day we sail! The plan is to leave from Beach Club at 9 am (meeting at 8:30) and head over to the port on the DIS party bus. Since we won't be the first ones there someone else has taken the DIS meet sign to have in the terminal for the group.

Not sure how often I'll be checking in but we do plan on getting the internet package and doing our "live from" report.

Have a great day everyone! Watch for us sailing by at two palms!

No problem. Sounds like you had fun without us.

And it was a good game. MSU likes to keep them close and exciting for their fans unlike other Big Ten teams that just blow people away without any regard to their feelings.

You know its not to late to drive over to Jetty Park say at 5:15 or so and wave to us from the rocks. Do you have a green monkey hat like Gary's so I know it is you? :lmao:
