did he get it????

Nope. But he's ok with it. That clears up his schedule.
I feel bad for him b/c he's not a great sight reader and all the other kids at callbacks were a lot quicker at doing the stage directions AND reading the lines. So he's at a disadvantage there. But the auditions must go on....we'll keep trying (although sometimes it's hard to find a play that doesn't interfere with our vacation schedule) :lmao:

now that is just mean right there! didnt those nodules bother her cheeks??? ugh!

The first two months, they practically wore a hole right through her face, from the inside out... her face was so swollen- she looked like a different kid. Once the inside of her mouth 'toughened up', it wasn't so bad.

After about 2 weeks of the drama queen act of "I can't eat anything", hunger won out, and she was eating steak and everything else in no time! By the time that thing was ready to come out, she had mastered popcorn and even (shhhh) bubble gum.

Too bad the kids aren't closer - our group is doing a broadway review this fall - the kids will be involved for a few numbers and it'll be pretty low key - Sunday afternoon rehearsals until tech week and even then just for an hour before the adults. I'll be glad when the kids will have new music - they're still listening to the "Joseph" soundtrack...You'd think after an entire summer of "Joseph's Coat annoyed his brothers but what made them mad...la la la la" They'd be tired of it - I'm about ready to throw the CD out the window!!!

ABC is just about the only place near PC that stocks it.

abcfinewineandspirits.com gives the locations.

If you call them ahead of time they can make sure some is there for you.

Thanks, Jim. Making a note...

So that's my problem, I need to go to NE to shop. Who would have thought? Since I am buried in clothes here, of the vintage variety, it's hard to think about going shopping for more. Today is nice and cool so far, from the rainstorm last night, good for taking pictures. Can't handle that when it's hot.

Karen, sorry to hear about your frustrated thespians. Sounds like you need a kid's troupe in your area. There are so many theater groups here, I can't keep track. We may need to find out more, because again, Alicia did not get the theater performance class. Which is the reason she wanted to go to the Performing Arts school. It's the same period as her Sophomore English class, and she can't change English periods because the other class is already too big. I guess she will have to try again next year at the big high school. She's thinking that's what she wants to do.

It's too bad, because the teachers at the small PA school are so good. But then, the school is very small and full of cliques. The class sizes are small, but there are not many options. Always the good with the bad.

Thanks for all the well wishes and thoughts for the kids....the "frustrated thespians" (I like that)

They really, truly, are alright with it. Like I said, now KT can go to her Buckeye games (b/c we all know they'll lose if she's not there---the only game they lost last year was TX and that's the one Mike and KT missed) and Nick is cool with it too....he says "maybe the next time."

As opposed to a friend of theirs who was auditioning on Sunday who was bawling after the song part b/c she said "I messed it up so badly, I'll never get in!!!!!" Thing is, *I* thought she did great!!!! She also got a callback and did it last night with a 104 degree fever and feeling really cruddy. She got a part! Go figure! :)

Ah, well, just back from taking the cat to the vet. I budgeted $50 for it. It was $107! :earseek: Guess he's going to have to stop eating for a few months till we can get back on budget! :lmao:

OMG -- that looks really painful!!

It's this:

Or, as we call it in our house, a hydraulic lift-kit... looks like it came from the NAPA store... she was MORE than happy to get that thing removed after a year!!!

Karen -- sorry the kids didn't get the parts. Just means a better show is coming their way. Does your statement below mean you all will make the trip to Austin this year for the big game on September 9th????? That would be cool. I think my boss got tickets. His son is going to school at UT.

Gotta go

Nope. No way.
Last year we sold our OSU-Texas tickets on ebay (b/c we were going on the member cruise) for just over $700.....for TWO tickets (sold them to a Texas fan....oops)

That totally financed two tickets to the Big House for the OSU-Michigan game AND FOUR tickets to the OSU-Indiana game.

Wish I had two tickets this year to that game!!!! I'd be putting them on ebay!

Oh yeah....just checked ebay. Those tickets would be ON ebay so fast....
(of course, I'd probably get lynched by my own family!!!)

Ohminnie...tell Nick I'm sorry...but there's another show around the corner. And heaven forbid we mess up the vacation schedule! As a thank you to Nick, I think he should go to WDW soon!

If I get online tomorrow night, it will be from my own computer and I can be in color again. Yea!
I think I've seen enough rain for a while, but it is nice.
We went to the school my brother teaches at today. It's starting its fourth year, and is a beautiful school. I wish they'd build schools like that in Arizona.
We went to lunch and met my Aunt Maren and Uncle Dave, who aren't really my Aunt and Uncle, but my Mom's cousin. Until I come here, I don't realize how much I miss running into friends and family, and going to see my brothers. I guess I just kind of block out how much I miss them throughout the year.
All packed and ready to go. I doubt if I'll have too much trouble at the Omaha airport, it's pretty small. Talked to Jay and the kids tonight. Even Jared said he missed me! Give them a day of me being home, and they'll be wanting to send me away again. LOL
Have a great day tomorrow, everyone!

I agree with you.....I would rather have my $1000 and sit at home and watch the game on my HDTV! :lmao:

We have the same feeling when we see our family once every couple of years.....but then after a week with them I start to remember why I moved away from them!!! :lmao:
