Hey Amanda,
We stayed in a studio at SSR after the cruise. We are not DVC members but rented points from someone on the DIS rent/trade board. As for availability it wasn't reserved until April 3rd, fairly close to our stay. We were in the Paddock bldg - about opposite of the area with DTD views. We probably got what was left 'cause we didn't check in til about 9pm because we did the KSC after disembarking. We did look out over the pool - one of the little pools - not the main one. We didn't use any of the pools. In the building by the pool there was 2 washers and 4 dryers. They have the slots for quarters but you don't have to pay. I'm told the only the 1 and 2 bedrooms have washers and dryers. There was a mini fridge, microwave, small sink, and I think a coffee maker. There were 4 stoneware type mugs, 4 glass drink glasses, and the rest was disposable - 4 sets of plastic silverware, 4 paper bowls and 4 paper plates. You would need more plates and all if you were to eat in the studio much. We only ate in the food court the night we arrived. It was good and there was a bit of variety like someone mentioned (Diane?). Alan and Bryce took the bus over to Epcot once, and Shane and Bryce went from MGM to SSR once. Both times there wasn't much of a wait for the bus to pick them up, just that the bus does take some time to get to your destination of course.

Hope that helps!
Sherry

I've gotten a couple of emails from Bryce. They're nothing like Matts. You can just tell it's killing him to sit still long enough to get two sentences out. I hope his English teachers never see these........anyway, the one this evening said he "forgot" to tell me they went "elevated water entry......". Apparantly that is also knows as cliff jumping :teeth: . The 30 feet of Inspiration Point (hmmmmmmmm) wasn't enough for him so he went higher to 35-40 feet. It's probably a good thing he "forgot" to tell me before hand. Stacey, weren't we just talking about my other son and rumors of cliff jumping at lunch???????

He's also going to be able to get his advanced scuba certification. What a summer this kid is having.
Sherry

Good Morning All - - itchy to travel again after reading the posts you posted after I signed off.....

Amand a- don't know if I ever told you but we stayed at Boardwalk Villas for my Mother 80's birtday and it was perfect. Of course, it was just the 3 of us. We had a nice room, one huge bedroom and walk in bath with jacuzzi and a living room, with sofa bed and an ever larger walk-in shower. A full kitchen, 2 balconies...Turned out cheaper than 2 rooms the summer of 2000....no rates that year on any hotel. It was a treat!

Mother still wonders who is sleeping in "her" room!!!!

Later...

Two thoughts on this....

#1, Mary could do a "we sail in approximately (xx) weeks" and then change it when the final date is known....

but...

#2, her (xx) would actually have to be (xxx) b/c it would be over 100 weeks!!! not sure I want to see a number THAT big. :lmao:

Well, #2 is rather depressing!! How about we just stick with using x's until it gets to a # we all like!!!! :lmao:

Sorry, your cover is blown. I just printed this page so Lisa can take it to school. :rotfl2:
Now, I do have a price that will keep the page out of her hands.......:thumbsup2

I'll BET you do!!!!

But remember, I really DO have meetings at theme parks... INSIDE the parks, at that! Hmm... we might have plan a ladies day at SW during that trip to make it 'official'... then it won't be a lie!!!!

If my ticker is correct for the June 7th date - we are in double digits! :cool1: I think it's around 94 weeks.

I'll be happy to add the countdown back in on Saturday. Didn't know if everyone wanted one yet.

June 7th 2008 is 710 days from today which means 101.43 weeks (it will be 101 weeks come Saturday).

Time flies when you're no longer having fun.
