Ok, this is REALLY REALLY weird.

Mike usually never brings home any of his mail he receives at work (piles of it each day) but he got something in the mail today that just made him laugh....and shudder at the same time. He showed it to all of his partners and they, too, thought it was bizzare!

He brought home a brochure with a picture of the Disneyland castle on it....Seems that the Los Angeles Pediatric Society is having their 63rd Brennemann Lecture Series.

So, there on the front cover is the Disneyland castle....all beautiful and decked out for the 50 yr anniversary....and then the coference subject over top of it....

Ok, everyone thought that DISNEYLAND was a rather odd place to hold a lecture series with that topic!!!​

Odd is an understatement.

If it wasn't this week for Elliot, it would have probably been next week. He has the singing voice, he puts more personality into the songs than Katherine, but not by much. Katherine won over him tonight by looks alone. I will be very surprised if she pulls it off by that next week. But then again that's how that woman won on Dancing with the Stars, by getting.. skimpier every week. That's a bit too superficial for my tastes.

Katharine's dress for her third song this week was just a bit on the short side, eh? When she first came out KT blurted out "that looks like one of my dresses that's two sizes too small!!!"

Congrats to the Mickeymo family! That will be a fun family project!

I'm very happy. Finally, my favorite made it to the finale, the first time since Kelly Clarkson. Yes, I was a Kimberly Locke fan, and a Jennifer Hudson fan, and a fan of some others whose names I can't remember. It doesn't bother me that a 21 year old isn't a seasoned performer with perfect demeanor in front of millions of people. Watching them "grow up" a bit during the show is a good bit of the fun. GO KAT!!!

Also very happy that "So you think you can dance" is coming back. That was a Don't Miss show for us last summer, as you can imagine. Looks like I will need to tape the first two episodes though.

Anyone else bringing glow necklaces??

I haven't started packing and just put another load of laundry in, went upstairs to the kids rooms and nearly blew a gasket, all the clothes on the floor so they threw some down the shoot so I washed them. Less to do next week when we get back and have to pack for the cruise.

I'm bringing a whole bunch of them. I have necklaces, glow sticks and bracelets. I do have extra if anybody needs them. Went to the dollar store and loaded up.

We're going to head over to Paradise Beach on our own (or with whoever else is still planning on heading over there) in Cozumel.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. We don't have anything booked for Coz and we really just want to go to a beach and "hang". I canceled our ressie for the Submarine thing. It would take too long and wouldn't let us go to the beach. Count us in...

Sandi and anybody else that watches Amazing Race:

I was soooo happy that the "hippees" won. I loved them from the beginning. They enjoyed and appreciated everywhere they went. They weren't nasty or mean to anyone. Not like when they cancelled the taxis. THAT was mean. Anyway...loved the outcome.

We will probably be doing the same thing. It's my turn to do excursions with the DS but I don't think I will since the baby is still nursing and he's pretty clingy. I hope he will be ok in the nursery while the DH and I are at Palo's.

I was hoping Ray and Yolanda would win but I am glad they made it to the top three. I am glad the hippies won because I didn't like the way the frat boys were playing the game.

I missed the first hour of AR, but caught the last. I was sooo glad the Hippies won. They did play an Amazing Race. Glad the FratBoys lost, they didnt deserve to win.

We are doing the same thing. Being Lazy Beached Bums at all three ports. Dominique is quite contented to play in the sand, Misti doesnt do the salt water thing, so we are going to have one more relaxing vacation.
We will have a lot of sand toys to share if anyone wants them.

Caught up on my reading.... we didn't get home from Jared's game until after 10:00. Really too late on a school night.

Jordan was supposed to tape AI, but she messed it up. Oh well. Things went the way I predicted they would, but I also didn't think it would be that close.

LATE Dinner Seating:


For the most part, we don't know who is sitting with who yet. We put in for XX number of people, the rotation we wanted....and left the rest up to DCL.
There are some people who did request to sit with eachother....We had posted here many moons ago that if you had a preference to let us know (and that was for wanting to sit with someone, or NOT wanting to sit with someone).....so we did honor those requests. But for all the rest of us, it will be luck of the draw.

It seems that we end up playing "musical chairs" alot anyway. If one couple goes to Palo, we'll move around, etc.

P.S. No one asked to NOT be seated with anyone. well except for all the people who said they didn't want to sit with Jim, but that was a given..........

We bought the costumes, (are you kidding me?). I think it's bad enough when I have to alter them. The studio has the trophies, though I covet that "Entertainment Award" plaque.
