We got the bill for Mike's student loans and now it says "new feature, pay by credit card." COOL!!! Cuz I was planning on paying off the balance....
so I log into their site and enter all my info (figure why not get the Disney Points!?!?)....well, turns out they charge a fee depending on how much you charge....for us it would be $151!!!!!! which means I'd have to pay that just to get 38 points. I don't think so!!!!

That's why we're hoping for our loan to close. We'd have to pay the 2% cc fee that the company is charged, so we'd be getting 1% but also end up paying 1% extra. But that might be our only option at this point.

Ok, this is REALLY REALLY weird.

Mike usually never brings home any of his mail he receives at work (piles of it each day) but he got something in the mail today that just made him laugh....and shudder at the same time. He showed it to all of his partners and they, too, thought it was bizzare!... Ok, everyone thought that DISNEYLAND was a rather odd place to hold a lecture series with that topic!!!

Definitely not a good location choice...

Some weird mail found its way to our house on Monday... I didn't open it- just put "Return to Sender- wrong address" on it and sent it back... it was a white padded envelope, hand-written, addressed only to "MOM", and had our address on it.

It came from an INMATE at the state pen!!!

You could see through it that there was a Mother's Day card inside (Mickey Mouse, at that!)... it had the official "This is inmate mail, mailed from xxxx Correctional Facility" stamp on it, and the facility postmark- even a return address with the inmate's first name. (No last name) Don't know who his Mommy is, or why he thinks she lives at our house...

The only thing we can figure is that the people who lived at our house before we did, whose parents were also living with them temporarily, have a brother that they aren't too proud of... ???!!!

It really does make a world of difference knowing a bunch of (nice) DISers. It is SO wonderful to pass people in the hall and say hi or stop and chat. Dinners are great b/c there is so much laughing and fun going on---even between tables. It truly will be a different cruise experience for you!

Does this mean you will actually stop and talk to me in the hall this time?

Just came back from taking Elizabeth to the orthodontist... she's REALLLY got the DISBoards Cruise Buzz BAAAAAD... she got lime-green elastics & connectors for her braces this month. (Her semi-formal night dress is lime-green as well... she'll be very coordinated!)

Hi Sherry, have you lived here? I guess the Fishback studio is known outside of NM too. Well, it's a huge studio, I'm thinking 2000 kids take dance there? No, she has never danced there. We went to a studio called Lana's from another big studio in town, Alwin's, that primarily trains ballerinas. Lana's is now Dance Arts Center. It's small, and she's very happy there. She gets to do things like duos/trios (their duo beat out seven Fishback duo/trios), teach classes, choreograph routines. It's a good fit.

The last time we did a park, MGM, when it rained I had to throw out my sneakers cause they stunk to high heaven. I'd rather not. A little rain, OK, pour-NO WAY. My two boys have no fat on them what-so-ever, so if it's not hot out, they won't swim. That's what happened to us one year we went to Blizzard Beach. Too cold - not fun with two skinny kids. Me, I got enough blubber for all of us.
