Good morning, everyone. We sail in 3 days!



Today is Graduation Day! Andy graduates from high school today. Wish us luck as we try to juggle grandparents and an uncle all in 92 degree heat!

Can't wait for Saturday! Looking forward to meeting everyone then!

Kids have a day and a half of school left - they're so excited! John whipped up a big batch of chocolate mouse for the kids' teachers. A survival kit of sorts for the last days of school...

Well, I'm off to take Erin to school. My tasks for today include getting the door signs I made laminated and magnetized, lunch with a friend, a Target run (yet again), and then taking Erin sneaker shopping (again, yet again). At least it's nice out today. Jim had to go into the city, and for once took the train (it's about time!), so when I'm home, I'll have the house to myself. Ah...

The kids are excited today....it's the last day of school. What a great way to celebrate the last day of school.....with a cruise.
But first we celebrate with a family breakfast.

For the last day of school, our kids are both wearing their "We're going on a DCL Cruise" T-shirts that I had made for them to reveal their Christmas surprise. (Which means I have to do laundry tonight so they can wear them for dinner at JB's on Friday...) I'm sure Christopher's teacher is 100% SICK of hearing about our cruise from him!!!!!

I've seen a number of posters on the main cruise forum who are sailing with us and even with invitations have never come over to the thread. To each their own.

I, for one, am glad I've taken the time to get to participate and get to know all of you. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone on the ship!

I know that OM and I have both tried to lure some posters over here in the past week... with no luck... one guy who was really hoping he could find some tween-aged girls for his daughter to hang with... tried sending him here and to the tween & teen thread... what did he want, a written invitation... oh wait... that WAS a written invitation.

Good morning cruisers!!

It's not long now before the "double scoop group" is together. We have one Spring Concert to get through and then straight from there we're off to the JFK Ramada Inn for a night's sleep and then off to Florida on Thursday morning. We are just about to bust in this house. Can't believe it's actually here. Only a few "things" to go into the suitcases. All clothes are packed. I've decided NOT to take the laptop since most of the time is DISing lately and I won't be needing to do that for the next week. I could always use the condo's computer.

Stacey - Guess what? I slept through the entire night last night!!! Hope you're still not mad at me about the other night.

Happy Birthday Maggie!!! I'm sure it's going to be a great one.

Mary - like the set-up you have on the treadmill. That might just make me stay on it longer.

Mike - I like your article and especially the one about the car seats. We have a neighbor that does that. But nothing will ever happen to her kids.

I need your advice - should I go and get the manicure/pedicure today or wait until tomorrow and have it done at the Marriott? I'm a little confused as to what to do. If I have it done today, I won't be much help later on in the day. Can't pick up luggage or anything like that. What do you say? HELP!!​

WOW!!! It's almost here, isn't it???

Will tell Mike you like the articles....ya know what....nevermind....YOU tell him...you'll see him in a couple of days!!

No advice on the manicure/pedicure thing. You'll see me with my au natural fingernails on the cruise....most of them broken off! Toenails still must be done...but will be done at home, so don't laugh! Always want to do a pedicure, but don't want to drive 30 minutes one way to do it!!
