We LOVE the pirate party and dress up . It is one of the highlights of the trip! It is so much fun! Seeing everyone running around like pirates, the entertainment, the food and the fireworks! It is just wonderfull!

Are you doing pirate outfits or just jeans and pirate related tshirt or something like that?

My daughter is graduating with honors and received 3 scholarships from the local Junior College. She got 1 for $250, 1 for $1000 and the last one is for full tuition!!! She is going into nursing. We are very proud of her. Couldnt ask for a better birthday/Mothers day gift!!

WE ARE ON OUR WAY....

luggage is already at the airport, pre-evening check-in is done, but do not ask me how the last 2 days were I totally freeked out, could not slepp, stressed and running around in the house like a wild chicken...

Now we are all set, my family is slepping and I am finishing the last details.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, at 5.30pm our flight LX64 from Zurich is landing in MIAMI Intl. Airport

I really hope to be able to log-in from time to time but if not, you will have to fill me in with all what I missed the coming 2 weeks, see you all on the ship at the sail-away party, get ready to rumble....

Congrats on the scholarships. My DW is a nurse too. She has specialized in Pediatrics most of her career. Its a very rewarding profession.

Good morning all! 2 weeks from today and we'll be SAILING AWAY! How exciting is that????

I hope you are all enjoying the planning stages and are as excited as we are!

We've finished our meager Fish Extender, I'll try to have pictures posted this weekend! Its not much, but it is made with love! Now to shop for gifts.

Tonight begins graduation festivities! Senior dinner tonight, baccularette tomorrow, honors ceremony on Sat am right before Graduation on Saturday at 10! Wahoo! Finally done with my undergrad!

Then I can turn toward wedding festivities! Its gonna be a busy week and a half! Don't tell Melissa -- but I'm so ready for May 18th (day after the wedding!), I desperately need a day off!

Well -- my students are about to come in -- guess I'd better go teach. Have a great Thursday!

Well in the past we picked stuff up in the bahamas....The stores there carry lots of Pirate stuff. Pirate shirts, eye patches etc. They will give out bandanas at dinner. Now, we have progressed to costumes. We keep them for every cruise. I can't wait.

My husband nixed the dress up idea. He also won't do matching shirts. I guess I should just be happy to be on the cruise!

I guess I'm lucky. Both DH and DS don't mind dressing alike. It actually helps us to find each other in the crowded parks (DH can't do most of the rides due to moti! on sickness). I made my FE on Saturday night and it came out really cute. It is a Nightmare Before Christmas theme. I also made 3 Hawaiian shirts (not Disney themed), on Sunday.

We leave for the World in less than 2 weeks. I should start getting my packing done! I won't be able to bring any wine as we travel with carry-on only. ( I won't check my bags anymore since I spent 4 days in London without any clothes!)

Has your DH tried the motion sickness patch? It's been a great thing for my DH. He used to get sick on even the Star Tours ride, but with the patch, no problem! It sure makes flying with him easier. He normally has to sleep or else he gets really sick.

DH and I are both physicians, and we've tried it all. The patches help a little on the cruise (but he gets anticholinergic). He can't even ride a carousel! Anything with motion simulation or 3-D is especially bad.

EXCELLENT news for my family! DH is the most accident/injury prone person you've ever met. It's the joke of the family (though others in his family have come up with some doozies, too. Not mentioning names 'cuz they're cruising with us!)

For example....Three years ago, the day we got off The Magic, we went to Downtown Disney. While I shopped, DH took DD(then 3) on the little Carousel there. Minutes later a lady rushes into the store yelling my name and to come quick because someone in my family just got hurt. GUESS WHO.... not the kid, but DH ....he fell backwards off the carousel and tore up his knee requiring an ambulance ride to Celebration Hospital.
He had to go right to a company conference in West Palm for 4 days and tried his hardest to "man" up the story but hard to do with that scenario. What? The wild, rabid horse was chasing him?????

Jumping in and laughing here because I don't think Dan even KNOWS about the DISboards. He doesn't even know he has a fish extender but we'll play for him. His DD5, my niece, will get a huge kick out of it.
