Happy Thursday all! I am 64 days from the start of our vaca! Soooo excited. I need to get a move on on getting our FE gifts made. I will try to put together the info to email everyone this weekend - both the roster and the FE exchange lists.

Now, I'm kinda bummed.....DCL "wedding coordinator" just informed me that our vow renewal is scheduled for day 2 when we're docked in Nassau. That doesn't leave much time for exploring...and that's a new place for us.
OK, so I need a veteran cruiser to tell me:
What should we try to see that morning? We'll only have about 4 hrs before I'll have to return to the ship spa for my hair appt, etc.

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I wish you a lovely wedding. You are getting married on Me & DH's 2nd anniversary! We got married at Shades of Green (military resort) at Disney World.

I think I'd just walk around and hit the Straw Market (just follow the foot traffic). Nassau Port is kind of slummy, and very SCAREY if you ride in their taxis/busses. Now where the casino is, is very Ritzy, but I don't think you'd really have much time to explore.

Be prepared if you walk around to be harangued by the locals to buy their ware. Me & DH bought matching bead "love" braclettes made by poor starving children to pay for their food & schooling because the person just wouldn't leave us alone.

I think this trip, we are just going to walk over to the Harley Store and buy a couple of Nassau Harley T-Shirts and then go back to the ship and relax!

Awww, yay!! Happy Anniversary to you!! Our anniversary is actually May 26. We wanted the cruise after this one so we could get even closer to the original big day BUT due to its popularity (1st 5 day and over a holiday) all of the more reasonable rooms had been sold! And it's not like I didn't try - we booked this one well over a year ago - should've tried even earlier I guess. Oh well, it's our first cruise in a decade so you live and learn I suppose.
Our last cruise was on Carnival for our honeymoon! DH says that we could've had that 5day DCL if we hadn't paid for the vow renewal cermony! THAT was an arm and a leg! So, I sure hope it's worth it! I have high hopes for this service. Lord knows I paid for it! I have a huge pink Cinderella dress complete with "glass" slipppers. (pink is my fave color) We even have special mickey rings for the ceremony! I feel just like a kid again!
Thanks for the great info! I do feel better knowing that I'm not missing TOO much.
Any other great tips/info for first time cruisers??? Where can I find some DIS graphics to make magnets for our door? I LOVE the one at the beginning of this thread! Will def print that one! I've ordered my FE from ebay. I have tons of great gifts for it - lots of disney and pirate themed. I'm going to make a special pirate night treat sack! I have collected enough to give daily gifts! Is that ok? Do many ppl do that? Still trying to figure all this new FE stuff out AND still plan this "wedding"! I'm a bit stressed. lol

I was at Target yesterday and since I was walking by the camping section decided to scoop up a handful of those el cheapo disposable ponchos for the our trip. You know, for those 5-minute Florida shower burst and trips on Splash Mountain (yes, I'm one of those people ). They sat on my table until today when I finally reached into the back of my closet for the mesh Castaway Club bags I'd kept to store future Disney trip stuff in. I reach inside and there were like 8 of those darn ponchos that I just keep accruing from past trips! Sheesh! At this point, I could just make a tent out of them and cancel the pricey room ressie.

We officially have our Disney wall countdown calendar up and being marked off daily, and whenever DH calls my phone it now rings, "Welcome foolish mortals..." We are reaching full Disney theme mode

On that note, I cannot WAIT to check out the new interactive queue at HM!

Yeah, I keep on finding packs of those $1 ponchos too stuck in drawers and old luggage!! I guess the good news is we didn't need them! I like the idea of pitching a tent with them, or can make our OWN Cabanas at CC!!

Guess we're all alike with those darn ponchos ! Living in Florida, I have them in my luggage, drawers, closets, etc. Maybe we should all bring them and build a cabana on CC

Having fun collecting our FE Gifts and talking about our cruise !

We were up to WDW to go to the EPCOT for the Flower and Garden Festival.
Sooo beautiful, sooo much to see and do ! Stopped by Seaworld too !
Since it was a last minute drive up there, we stayed at Saratoga Springs and scored the Springs Section !

Slight change in my post-cruise accomodations... Disney just released their passholder discounts for the time-frame I will be there, so I was basically able to change my resort from Pop Century to Port Orleans Riverside for the same cost per night. Soooooo excited!!!

Well, it's 58 days til the cruise and I've also started putting things together and going through totes in the basement full of disney supplies. They contain items from previous trips or things I collect throughout the year in preparation of future trips! (See, branv, you're not alone. We disney nuts have to collect all year! DH calls it a sickness. )
AND, guess what *I* found.....dollar ponchos!!! lol

I'm really starting to get excited now!
Also very psyched about the FE, since it's our 1st cruise and 1st FE exchange.
I visited a FE thread yesterday with pics of handmade gifts. I was SO impressed with what I saw! You veteran cruisers really put a lot of love into this! I feel so inspired now!
If I wasn't making all of these VR arrangements, I would totally be making some great stuff to share! I'm just so busy right now.
All of my gifts are store bought THIS trip! But, look out! It's GAME ON for the next cruise!

I did the Princess half marathon as well. It was my first 1/2 and a great experience, going to make it an annual event. Was this your first time or are you a repeat marathoner?

It was my first... I never would have dreamed a year ago that I could run 2 blocks... let alone 13.1 miles. It was an awesome experience.

I really hope to do it again next year as well... did you go with the family or make it a girl trip? There were 7 of us in a DVC villa at Animal Kingdom. What a blast!

Hello All !! My family will be joining all of you on this cruise and we can't wait!! This would be, in Cabin #1: me (53), DH (53), Cabin #2 DD (30), her DH (31), their son (5), their daughter (3), Cabin #3 my stepson (30) and his girlfriend (24).

I've been busy trying to get some door magnets together so I can surprise all of them. I have a question, tho.

I just LOVE the graphic of the Dream that Bubbasmom99 did for us, but I'm having a hard time printing it out? I cannot get the entire graphic to fit on the page. Is there a special trick to this? I would appreciate any help I could get.

Please check the fish extender exchange list in post #1 and make sure you are listed if you want to be, and not listed if you aren't participating... I ran into a few discrepancies in checking between lists, so I want to make sure we're not including/excluding anyone before we finalize the list next month.
