We are DVC members too! We started off at WLV but sold those and now just hold the BCV ones (really tempted to add some on, though). Are you staying at WDW before or after? We are staying 5 nights post-cruise.

We are just staying the one night before the cruise... we snagged a Grand Villa at OKW... super excited to check them out. Wish we could stay longer but it had to be a quick trip for us this time.

We own at AKV and BLT... hope to try for BCV someday!

Are you planning any special birthday surprises? So excited that it falls on Castaway Cay day! How perfect is that?

We are doing a day at Universal to check out the Harry Potter thing the day before the cruise. I want to stay in a Grand Villa one day!

Not sure what we're going to do for her b-day. Pretty cool enough that she gets to celebrate on CC - I am hoping the ship's staff can help me with some ideas.

I just told Sarah about Abby and she is SOOO EXCITED - she's like "we're going to be BEST FRIENDS!". She loves making new friends... is not shy at all, and be prepared for her to non-stop talk your ear off

We stayed in an OKW GV a few years ago. They are HUGE compared to other resorts. Felt like we had a small house! We had one in building 48... thought it was too far away but found it was quiet and peaceful. We had a quiet pool around the corner and never waited long for one of the many buses to grab a lift to hospitality house.

Hi everyone...
Who has snow??? I know some of my friends have had the 1st snowfall down in the states. WE are having an unusually warm mid-November day in Hamilton today.
I was able to get all my ADRs for our pre-cruise stay at AKL villas. My DD will be very pleased to have breakfast with Mickey and Dinner with Cinderella... and I get to have my fav dinner at O'Hana! Yay!
WE have a one night stay in concierge at AKV after the cruise so we will be snacking there and having counter service somewhere.

6 months to go fellow cruisers!

Hey Everybody!! You can add me to the May 15th Cruise list! We are SO excited... this is our very first Disney Cruise and we can't wait!! It will be:

Marci (me) 29
Dave (DH) 36
Felicity (DD) 4
Jackson (DS) 2

And Possibly some extended family, but not sure yet. We're booked in a Cat 4C and right now have the second dinner seating. We're on a waitlist for the first seating because I don't think our two kids will still be up at 8:30 after a long Disney day!

We are planning a pre cruise stay in WDW as well. We hope to be able to participate in the D23 Scavenger Hunt on May 12 and 13th before we set sail. We are also DVC members!!

Even though we've never been on a Disney Cruise before I have read about DISers who participate in Fish Extenders with fellow cruisers. How does that work exactly? Does someone have to be in charge of it or is there a list if you're interested?

I almost named my dd "Felicity" but she ended up "Madigan".
We are also DVC members and staying at AKV before and after the cruise.
There is list on this thread for FE participation. Basically it is kinda like a secret santa thing but you can put you name on it. There is a FE which is a cloth pocket organizer thingy that you hang from the fis outside your cabins.
Those who are participating make or buy little gifts and deliver them into the FE. The one we did in February had each participant pick a day for delivery so that it was even throughout the cruise instead of everyone delivering on one day. The kids love it because they get special little treats daily.
You can give single gifts for entire cabin, something for the adults and the kids, or something for each individual in the cabin.
If you search FE or look at the FAQ section at the top of the cruise line forum board, there is some good info and some pics.
I am not someone who sews, therefore I bought my from a great lady on Ebay, Gradysmom, and she made us a beautiful one! Look under Fish Extender.
See you in 6 months.

We had our first snow yesterday!! Left work and it was like a blizzard, the snow was blowing sideways and was really big/wet flakes. It had stopped before I left post, go figure...and clear when I got home about 10 miles away. Colorado has some weird weather. They can have a 2 hour delay at work because of snow, and the ground be clear at home.

I can't believe we are at the 6 month mark!! We are DVC members too, but I think we are going to stay with my in-laws a couple of days before the cruise...they offered to drive us to the port, I can't wait!

About the FE...it's going to be fun to see who all wants to participate. What about a DIS meet? I wonder if anyone's game?

If the list gets too large for FE, we could always do two lists instead of one. That way it would be 35 gifts instead of 70...

We'll be staying at the Beach Club during our pre-cruise WDW visit. We don't have points left for 2011 because we borrowed most of them in order to do a crazy 15 day 2 Bedroom in BLT last month. It was great!

Hi everyone! Hope those who celebrate had a great Thanksgiving. Mine was amazing i.e. we went out to eat so I didn't have to do a single dish OR get up at 4 a.m. to do turkey work. And we still had like 8 boxes of leftovers. Sweet

Pulled out the Christmas tree today, and unwrapped the ornaments. My favorite part was unwrapping my wonderful Tinkerbell..errr..bell w/ the castle topper ornament from our last trip to WDW. Will be decorating the tree tomorrow while Rudolph is on. Watched "Behind the Magic: Disney Holidays" this weekend and it really made me wish I was going to WDW already! But that's okay...less than 6 months!

Hope you in the great white north are staying warm. I can't believe you're already seeing snow! It was 70+ degrees here today. I'm dying for a little winter wonderland, so send it on down.

We are way up north and no snow. In fact it was quite mild today and even milder temps predicted tomorrow!
