I just completed our online check in and our stateroom assignment appeared! We're in 6681, it's an 11B GTY just as we booked. No upgrade but still exciting! Anyone else get their room assignment?

I haven't looked through all of this thread but has anyone started a Fish Extender list yet? This will be our first cruise on DCL and I think my two kids would LOVE the FE but I don't know all the details about how it works because we've never done one before.

I think there is a list started but NOT sure if anyone is doing a separate FE list. They are listing everyone on the cruise I think.
Having a separate FE list may be easier to follow for those participating with cabin#. Deck, # of adults & # of kids with their gender and age.

I'm also a friend of Suzanne's and we're celebrating her birthday! I'll be in cabin #7188 on deck 7 with my husband- Armando, daughter-Samantha, and son-Nicholas. They are both 3.

I am Marci. My husband Dave and our 3 sons Tevin-13, Trent-10 and Caleb-8yrs and I are booked to sail on the Dream on May 15-19 2011. We are super excited. My husband and I have been on a cruise in 2006. It wasn't a Disney cruise tho. This is our first time on a DCL and a first taking the kids. After we are going to DW. Everyone is so excited. We have been researching alot and learning new things all the time. We will be in cabin 8124. We watched the Christening this week. The ship looks beautiful. So glad to join this group of other sailing mates!! Marci

Hey Everybody!! You can add me to the May 15th Cruise list! We are SO excited... this is our very first Disney Cruise and we can't wait!! It will be:

And Possibly some extended family, but not sure yet. We're booked in a Cat 4C and right now have the second dinner seating. We're on a waitlist for the first seating because I don't think our two kids will still be up at 8:30 after a long Disney day!

We are planning a pre cruise stay in WDW as well. We hope to be able to participate in the D23 Scavenger Hunt on May 12 and 13th before we set sail. We are also DVC members!!

Even though we've never been on a Disney Cruise before I have read about DISers who participate in Fish Extenders with fellow cruisers. How does that work exactly? Does someone have to be in charge of it or is there a list if you're interested?

LOL!!! What are the odds?? It's really funny even to see another Marci that spells it without the 'e' or a 'y' at the end. It would be great to see you on the cruise! This will be the first time on a cruise that it will just be us and the kids without any extended family. I know it's going to be lots of fun but I'm also nervous! I just hope I don't get seasick.

Joanne - I think a separate FE list would be really helpful since this thread is getting so long! I haven't participated in one yet but I know it would be so much fun! Count us in!

I started this thread so I can edit the 1st post, so why don't we start posting roll call info again and I'll keep a tally in the first post, for both regular roll call and FE exchanges.

I've created a form for us to enter the data and then I'll post a summary on post#1 of this thread, and email the complete data to those of you who are participating... make sense?

Awesome Joy!!!! Thanks so much for organizing this - I was willing to, but hoping I didn't have to... LOL

This will be my first FE to participate in, do we leave stuff for each person in the cabin, or only the children?? If someone could post some tips/advice for this noob, I would greatly appreciate it.

So, how many of us are glued to all of the trip reports coming in from the Inaugural and Preview cruises??? I know I have, and I am getting more and more excited by the day!!!!

Any other folks have kids in the 11 yo range? My son Harrison is really looking forward to chilling out at Edge - at first he was bummed that he wouldn't be in the Oceaneers Lab - but that changed quick as can be when I showed him some pics and he saw the really cool space, all the laptops, and the Wii!!!! Might be nice if we could maybe arrange a little meet and greet after boarding, so kids in the same age groups can meet each other, and have some familiarity prior to going into the clubs... Just a thought

On the FE, I think you can do whatever you want. Sometimes it's a group gift and other times it's special stuff for the kids. That's why I asked for kids' names and ages in case anyone wants to do specific age or gender themed gifts.

My son Nick is turning 12 right before the cruise. He just spent the 2 days of our cruise in the Edge on the Wonder - we barely saw him except at dinner. Your son will love the Edge. Is he into video games? My son would love to chat him up, I'm sure.
