5/15/05 Wonder ...who's going??

WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! One MONTH from now we'll ALL BE ON THE WONDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think a question/answer thing would be GREAT!! Maybe we can try to set up SOME kind of mini meet!!! It'd be nice to KNOW people that we pass on the ship. I can post pictures of us all on my web site if you'd like (in my signature)You can email the pics to me and I can post them there.

I've got TWO bags that have some of our stuff for the cruise! LOL i keep making lists and losing them! I've got the big suitcase out, but I just keep putting stuff in the bags. I need to find SOMETHING to wear for our dress up night. Any ideas?? I'm not really a DRESS person right now! I've got the extra memory card and batteries for my digital camera, bathing suits, travel size shampoo/conditioner/lotion, etc. I'm already getting things ready at work..typing up all my notes and duties for the people coming in to fill in for me for the week!! I'm SO enjoying doing that! LOL and listening to my DISNEY music while I do it!

WHo has early dining? We do!!

I can't wait to receive our DOCS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still hear that the spaceship is going up too!!!! THats going to be AWSOME!

Whew who!!! I'm so happy for you...I can't believe that its actually getting so close! I can't wait to get my docs, I guess we will probably get them soon then.

club !!
I'm just trying to figure out what night to do Palo's?
I know the 3 rd night is Pirate night, right? And, we don't
want to miss that with the kids. If, all else fails, maybe we'll
just do the brunch.

The four of us all have lime green T-shirts which we will probably be
wearing on sail day, so keep an eye out for us !!

Yep, we're doing early seating too! My Son is 6 - so it looks like we'll have a lot of little ones all around the same age.

He doesn't know that we're going yet. I've sworn all around us to secrecy, and so far so good. I've just got to think of a good way to spring it on him. Of course I could just let him see the ship and figure it out on his own.

I haven't figured out what night to do Palo either.

We have early dining too! Kids are DS11 (almost 12...we'll celebrate his birthday a week early while we're on the cruise) and DD9.

I'm hoping to just get the brunch for Palo...since this is our first cruise I don't want to miss any of the dining rooms...even pirate night!

I've got a plastic bin in my bedroom that is overflowing with stuff to pack!!! I can't wait!!!!

We have late seating! Anyone else? I know that some feel it is too late, but we really enjoy it. We will also be wearing green shirts departing day! I am in the process of making our iron-ons now. We did it last year, & really had a lot of fun with it. Hope that we get to see the shuttle launch! Good luck to everyone who has not received their docs yet. Hope everyone gets them soon! I haven't started packing yet either.

I started packing. I am having a hard time with the packing thing. I am a clothes freak and Its hard for me to decide what to bring. We will be doing the parks too so I am packing for 9 days.

We too have late seating as that was all that was available when we made reservations. Not a problem though because we are used to eating late and theres so much food on the ship, if we feel that we need a snack, we will!!!

I hope we get to see the shuttle launch...that would be sooooo neat!!!

Havent thought of making or buying any group shirts for departing day. Sounds like a great idea however, I have a DS14 who would die if I made him wear matching outfits...not so cool!!!

Anyways 27 days to go and we'll see you all real soon!!!

We are early seating. There are 11 of us all together with 5 kids (9,9,7,5,and 5) so we figured we should try to eat when most of the other families with kids would be eating.

Still no docs today I'm hoping tomorrow,

We are going to DC tomorrow for my husband stepdads retirement dinner and just packing for one night has me so flustered, I can't even think about packing for the cruise. Of course the girls wanted to "help" so now I'm redoing everything while they are asleep

It seems like we all have kids very close in ages so maybe we could try to coordinate something? Mine are so excited

I've seen in other cruise posts where the kids are starting to email each other to introduce themselves (penpals)...I know my daughter would be thrilled to know if there's any other 9 year old girls going! Would anyone be interested in something like this? I've got a 9 year old girl and an 11 year old boy who would love to correspond with other kids close to their ages, before the cruise!

There are 18 of us going on our Cruise. 8 Kids ranging from 6 - 12. Boys and girls. They are all so thrilled about the trip. Hope the Shuttle does launch while we are there, my boys are really excited about seeing that.

YEAY!!! I got my Docs yesterday -- very excited. My DS opened the box and I had to snatch it out of his hands before he figured out what they were. I told him they were just "checks" and he seemed to buy that.

The BAD news is that I finally dug up our passports and they are EXPIRED!

Oy vey shmear.

I can't believe that I didn't take care of that sooner. So I rushed my husband and I off to get our pics taken and overnighted my "EXPEDITE" forms to the Passport agency today. Cross your fingers for me, they should be ready in 2 weeks.

Just when I thought I was uber-organized. Ah well, if worse comes to worse, one of you can bring extra large suitcases for us to stow away in.

Can't wait to meet you all.

I was freaking out when I read your post about passports. mt first thought was passports!!! We need those!

I called and checked and all we need is a valid birth certificate with the state seal.

I'm so glad that you got your cruise doc's yippyskippy!!!

I havent got ours yet but I called AAA and the guy said that we sould be getting them very soon YaY!!!

My ds is two months shy of 10 yrs old. I know hes excited to go..he's done the pen pal thing before with a few boys before Meet and Greets with another board to WDW! It workded out GREAT!

I checked to make sure I could find our Birth Certificates a few weeks ago! I had packed them and other important docs when all the hurricanes came through last year! I just unpacked the suitcase in February!

I found a dress for semi formal night. A dress of my mothers belive it or not! LOL Now I hope its not TOO dressy!!!! I was just going to wear pants and a nice shirt before...Oh well!!!

I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by. NO DOCS dance for me yet But thats ok...still got another week or so to go before I start freaking out!

I just got a call from AAA that I can pick up my DOC'S today!!! I can't wait for school to let out so I can pick up my children and got get them!!!

Heather good job on keeping tabs on everyone. We are in cabin 8004 I believe and are stying the night before at the hilton cocoa beach. I'm not sure where in Orlando we are staying afterward as my BIL was in charge of that.

Did anyone else hear that they may be launching a space shuttle on May 15th, 2005? My husband just came home & told me that he heard that they were. I think that would be very exciting! I am just curious if anyone else knows anything about this?

Unfortunately, NASA just announced that the launch window is slipping to open May 22 instead of the 15th. Maybe you can see it when you return from the cruise?

UPDATED: If the launch goes on May 22nd, the launch time is set for 1:03 PM EST with a 5 minute launch window.
