$5,000 a good estimate for a weeks vacation?

A family of 4 at Nick hotel for 5 nights 6 days (woo hoo DH said yes). Plus air fare and all extra goodies at the parks and food. AM I way under in my price thinking?

probably around 700 for the room including taxes depending on when you stay. Probably 1500 total for food depending on where and how much you eat. Airfare is hard to say it depends on where you are....I would estimate 400 each roundtrip to be safe but that might be a lot more than it really is. I don't know how much Universal tickets are (if that is your plan).

So you are looking at somewhere around 3800 for your airfare, room, and food. As far as tickets and others I don't know.....
Sounds like 5000 is a good number, in my opinion.

Either on the budget boards or Orlando hotels boards (I can't remember which one) someone has a code for 25% off the Nick Hotel. The code is good until December 31, 2006.

That should come out to about $1000 for the hotel. Airfare is harder to figure out since I don't know where you are flying from. We flay out of Philadelphia and pay under $900 for all 5 of us (less if you get a good ding fare out of Southwest Airlines). Universal has a really good ticket special right now - Buy and adult pass for 5 days (for the price of a 2 day ticket) and get a child's free. Which would be $200 (plus tax) for 2 adult and 2 children's tickets for 5 days. You can't beat that!

Probably another $800 for Disney tickets and I would guess about $200 per day for food. You should be able to cover it fine.

Have a wonderful trip. We stayed for a few nights at the Nick Hotel last year and my kids loved it!
