Hey all Heading back to Disneyland in December 23-28 :santa: , have been a few times in the past but never on a holiday , just wondering what I can expect as fas as lineups go and special things to see and do , 79 days and counting , cant wait !!!! , what make the wait even longer is we are suprising our kids with this so can't talk openly about any of it .....arggggg
Cheers

Holiday parades, fireworks, snow, Santa and his reindeer at big thunder ranch, carolers, and don't forget sharing Christmas with thousands of your closest friends. Go with a plan! The parks will reach capacity.

Christmas is just beautiful.

Check out the very first page of the Christmas Superthread, it answers all the important questions about Christmas. In the pages following are some pictures of Christmas crowds, lots of tips and advice and is worth the read. There is never a crazy question to ask

The parks get busier leading into Christmas and can reach capacity for Christmas Day and the days following. DL is normally open to midnight with the exception of Christmas Eve and DCA til 10.

Hope that helps.

Super fun, super crowded. Go early, eat at off times, take a midday break, and close the place down.

The Christmas Parade is a must see. The best Parade I have seen so far!!! So make sure to get there WAY early to save your place to watch the parade as it will get REALLY crowded. Fastpass, fastpass, fastpass, if you do this you should be fine. The reindeer and pics with santa at DL and goofy santa in DCA are really cool. Don't leave the park unless you don't want to come back as it could reach capacity and you will not be allowed back in. Make and ADR's inside the park. Also, it's a small world is AWESOME!!! Enjoy your Holiday:)

The only day this is "true" is on NYE. The park will hit capacity during your stay, however, after the first parade, the park attendance will drop (it will still be very crowded) and if they have shut the gates, they will reopen. It 13 years of visiting for the 2 weeks at Christmas, the only day that the gates have not reopened has been NYE. If you go take a break, and come back and the gates have closed, head into DCA or DTD for an hour or so, and they will reopen.

If you can swing it, I highly recommend the Holiday Tour: getting on Haunted Mansion Holiday and IASW Holiday without waiting in line, and gingerbread men, hot cocoa while watching the parade in reserved seating (seats are across from Small World).

How do I sign up for the holiday tour ? would be very interested in that :)
