I tried to find threads on this I know there has to be some but nothing came up! We will be there July 2nd-10th with 5 days in the park. Will we be better off staying out of the parks on the 4th? Most likely we will stay at Park Vue Inn so we could see the fireworks or if we could find a beach somewhere that does fireworks that would be neat too! Any ideas or suggestions about going at this time?

actually....you will have the answer yourself come Sunday night, if you handled the 2 &3 fine, then july 4th will not be any different. the price of admission for one day has cutback on groups of folks coming in together so no crush of the locals. And folks who are there for the four day weekend were there on Sunday and Saturrday and may actually travel out on the fourth. leaving a less crowded park. and the 4th being on a monday, mmay be a deterrent for folks to visit. The last three years, the weekend has been morning friendly

I think a lot of it had to do with watching fireworks. Last year, I think Disney management closed the esplanade, but opened a viewing area by La Brea Bakery. DtD parking charged a flat $20 fee. In past years, there have been special bands playing in DtD, so there were lots of dancers there, too.
