4th of July ?'s

Speaking of Kidani, can Jambo house guests visit that cool pool over there and will it be ready when Kidani opens?

I know that DVC guests staying at Jambo and Kidani can use either pool, and I'm pretty sure the way the statements from Disney read, it can be interpreted that any guests staying at Jambo (DVC or not) can use either pool also, but someone else might have a clearer understanding than that.

The Kidani pool, and all other amenities (restaurant, Community Hall, recreation areas) are supposed to all be open when the resort does. The only remaining work will be rooms in the far end (should mostly be interior work) and some remaining work on the new Savanna.

Last year we did MK on the 3rd (had ADR at Crystal Palace) We came out just in time to get a spot. I would not have missed it for the world. 360 degrees of fireworks. Last year HS had fireworks for the 4th. Only time they have fireworks. It was great too. Epcot has Illumination with a small 4th because it a Global park.
Don't miss MK for the 4ths fireworks

gojoe- that is what i have planned for this year- adr at crystal palace and then stake out spot for the fireworks- did you sit around the hub or near castle?

This past July 4th we went over to BW in early evening, ate dinner at ESPN Club & then enjoyed all the BW activities - there was lots going on : jugglers, magicians a DJ & lots of folks dancing on the Village Green ( many riding around on surrey bikes ) - everyone having a really great time. We were able to see MK fireworks in distance across Crescent Lake and Epcot's over ESPN and DHS over Jellyrolls we could see really well. If you do decide to go to BW definitely wait at least an hour when fireworks are done to leave the resort because traffic will be extremely heavy with everyone exciting parks, other resorts, etc. There is still plenty to do there afterwards ( ice cream, BW bakery, Beaches & Cream at BCV, nice to stroll around lake and visit other resorts, etc. )

We stayed at BCV and had a great time last year doing exactly the same thing! We are big fans of the Boardwalk's nighttime activities, and the 4th was fantastic! The DJ was great on the Village Green and there were hula hoops all over. We had a big multi-generational group and it was enjoyable for everyone. A great alternative to a crazy crowded park.

the 3rd is the "dry run" for the fireworks on the 4th. Both nights are just as spectacular.

If you have a car you might want to visit Celebration on the 4th for their family themed activities. The fireworks here on the 4th are very great and the atmosphere is perfect. There is an Italian restaurant downtown over looking the lake which has beautiful outdoor seating...but make a reservation!

We were a few feet off the hub in front of the Castle. I had one of those new flip video cameras in my pocket the whole time. We just got it for getting Fios. I forgot it was there (da). I did record HS firework, if I knew how to I would post it. (da). Have a great time. 25 days till my next trip home.
